  • R's Target Quintet

Queens Park Rangers are reputedly interested in a number of players as the January transfer window enters full-flow.

The Kilburn Times are reporting that Paul Hart has set his sights on a number of January targets - one in particular is a familiar face.

Nigel Quashie has been on loan from West Ham United to the Milton Keynes Dons in a bid to prove his fitness - and if he can secure a release from the Hammers is poised to join Rangers until the end of the season.

The former Rangers youngster played his last game for the side in a home defeat to Bury in May 1998 before joining Premier League Nottingham Forest for £2.5m.

Meanwhile Paul Hart is set to solve his keeper crisis, according to the newspaper, by recruiting his former Portsmouth employee Jamie Ashdown.

Ashdown has been a bit part player for Pompey since joining from Reading in 2004 - but has proven adept between the sticks when called upon for the south coast outfit.

Strike trio Danny Webber, Fulham's David Elm and the currently injured Hull City target-man Caleb Folan are all in the frame according to the newspaper as Paul Hart seeks to rebuild the R's promotion hopes.

Better offer him a 4yr deal then.

David Elm is one of 3 brothers, the others are Rasmus (AZ Alkmaar) and Viktor (Heerenfen). David is the worst of the bunch, the others are really good, especially Rasmus who is a starter in the swedish national team.
