experienced cover until mahon gets back, better than amdy faye and hayden mullins, and won't take any time to settle - he's not brilliant or a "barometer of our ambition" but he ticks the boxes and is probably worth the punt on the balance of it.

who exactly would people have rather signed?

Dissagree on the Mullins front, but agree he's good enough to provide cover. We desperately need someone capable of winning a tackle and protecting the back four.

                    Nobody.

                    And I mean that... NOBODY.
I'd rather save our pennies up for summer signings. He's past it, and it is a pointless signing.

But I'm gald someone is happy about it, apart from Nige.

I tell you about Quashie, he loves this club and thats half the battle.

He won't be shierking tackles or playing like a big time charlie and will get stuck in, one thing you will get is a dedicated footballer proving a point after his time at West Ham

of course it will divide fans, but I'm guessing many will behind him and wish him the best. cannot do any worse than Watson, who given the chance most would have wasted 3 milion on in September

Good signing IMO if he's overcome his injuries.

Still has a bit of pace, bit of bite and is pretty mobile.

Wish him well and welcome home Nigel!

How he is a good signing and Beckford would not be, is beyond me.

i'm not bleeding ecstatic about it or anything either (and i wouldn't be shocked if he ended up a flop) but he's a logical signing that could do a job for the immediate present so fair dos.

what's the club supposed to do, give up on this season in january cos the fans have their knickers in a twist?
