Sounds worryingly similar to Steven Reid - out of favour at a Premiership club, perhaps "past it" and possibly lacking match fitness.

Obviously I will give him a chance to impress if he signs, but I have to say, I'm not very hopeful.

It's true Pete. Abdoulaye is also a defender.

Amdy is still very good IMO. He's a tough tackler too and has good Prem experience. We'll have to wait and see how he does but I think he'll do well.

Some don't want 'untried' players from the lower leagues.
Some don't want ANY foreign players at all.

The club can't win with our fans.
