Simpson or Webber will either play the deeper role, which is not something either are capable of doing. Or what will happen is that they will both go for the same space and for the same ball. Very rarely do two similar players play well together upfront. Even Yorke and Cole who were similar knew their roles and knew who was playing number 9 and who was playing number 10.

The whole situation stinks of poor management, we have signed a load of duds no one else would be interested in taking off our hands especially on the wages they are on. Vine & Ageymang are just 2 who have refused to go out on loan, they know they are on a winner here and yet when you look at their body language neither could care less. On top of that we have 3 players who were signed as crocks who would command virtually no transfer fee, yet are on extortinate wages.
This summer I would seriously think about paying up a few players contracts if they refuse to leave...set the stall, maybe it might inspire those players worth holding onto to play for the shirt.
What the rose tinted brigade seem unable to take on board is that although we have rich owners, they are only lending the club money, not giving it away. That money has to be paid back, it's not just written off.So, all these average players on long contracts is costing the club money, we are getting into more and more debt and the squad has not improved a great deal.
We should now be at the stage into this project where we have an established, strong and well balanced squad.
When the transfer windows come round, we should only need to add 1 or 2 players, maybe the odd loan signing to cover injuries. The fact that we are talking about an additional 4 or 5, thats on top of the 5 (adel, pellicori, simpson, watson, faurlin,) that we signed during the summer ( I've only included loans for the whole season) shows that someone is getting things very wrong when it comes to signing players
