well he hasn't, every manager says 'im looking to bring in a few players' doesnt mean they're done deals.

i just hope we bring in permanent transfers that will add competition for places, its time for cerny to a have a decent no.2 that has an opportunity to get in the first team

i quite happily see us splash some cash least it shows a bit of bottle from the board, faurlin is a perm and is looking a great buy.

It's a shame that the rose tinted specs brigade can't see what an awful decision it was to give these players the contracts they are on. Even if we did get promoted, Ageymang, Hall, Ramage, Helguson and vine would not be anywhere near good enough to feature in the premiership, yet they would also be impossible to get off our wage bill. For a club the size of ours this was a ludricous decision by gianni and makes no sense at all

What the rose tinted brigade seem unable to take on board is that although we have rich owners, they are only lending the club money, not giving it away. That money has to be paid back, it's not just written off.So, all these average players on long contracts is costing the club money, we are getting into more and more debt and the squad has not improved a great deal.

We should now be at the stage into this project where we have an established, strong and well balanced squad.
When the transfer windows come round, we should only need to add 1 or 2 players, maybe the odd loan signing to cover injuries. The fact that we are talking about an additional 4 or 5, thats on top of the 5 (adel, pellicori, simpson, watson, faurlin,) that we signed during the summer ( I've only included loans for the whole season) shows that someone is getting things very wrong when it comes to signing players

I couldnt make the game today but based on the live commentaries our only weakness was in defence (described as "pantomine-like" at times). Whereas going forward we were a constant threat. Sheff Utd's goal was definitely an unforced error on our part, of which there were countless throughout the match. How many of you just KNEW when they were awarded that corner in 1st half stoppage time, that them scoring from it was inevitable??

Sort the defence out and we'd have been coming home today in the next round. i.e. Drop Stewart for Connolly and get in a RB ASAP (Ramage is cover, at best).

I couldn't care what Paul hart said today, you knew three days ago? is that not confidential information?. As they were transfers still in the balance and as you quite rightly say, you don't want to "ruin" the deals. Surely this breach of confidentiality could lead to a deal being ruined?
