Truth is, Flavio is head butcher he does ALL the hiring and firing of everyone.
I'm making a comment on the ROLE he occupies, not the man himself. I even said that I would not want ANYONE to do it, because I don't think the ROLE is needed. Even if Francis or Venables was doing it.
I agree with the original post on this thread. It has NOTHING to do with "making a judgement" on GP.

I really don't know how to make that any clearer than I have.

So clear that only a blinkered fool couldn't see that.

    Crystal clear.

So GP telling a fan that Sousa was a **** a few weeks before he got the sack for talking to a fan had nothing to do with his firing then?

Get a club in the championship a manager like Harry Redknapp, then you might have a point.

One of the top 6 clubs in the country versus a bad supported club in the championhip, think your expecting miracles

I wonder how many clubs who have been promoted from the CCC over the last decade have had a SD like we have?

          Any?

            Well duhhh!

            Missing the point, again.
Harry was purely an example of someone who wouldn't work under a DoF.

On a lower level than Spurs, neither would Coppell, Jewell, or Curbishley.

No matter who that DoF was... before you get all humpy about another "attack" on GP.

writtler, me thinks thats the underlying issue. Some are blinkered that Sousa was a blinding manager and our saviour, when in the real reason is the anti GP brigade saw it as a the door opening ajar for Sousa to be the supremo.

Reality is, Sousa was bringing his own players in and let the ones he didn't like go on loan, (as in Lopez and Blackstock as an example).

Reality also was that we didn;t win a game in ages, at the most critical time of the year. If the platform had not be given to him by Ainsworth and Dowie beforehand, I wouldn't have been disappointed.

Well, Notts County are not exactly pulling trees in Division 2 !!

Next week the supporters when another takeover happens, will realise they have been taken for a ride.

that wasn't the issue, you was trying to tell us it's unreasonable to expect a top class manager to drop down a division, whereas i've given you a name that has dropped down a lot more then just the 1 division, and because you were "shown up" you've done your "spinning act" and commented on how Notts Co are doing

So what is your Understanding on the Sousa dismissal?
Who was the fan that posted on the messageboard and was that the same fan who Sousa shared confidential information with?

                          pkloft,

Okay, lets get Sven out of his contract at Notts County and get him in:cry:

Terry Ball, its all documented on this board from months ago. It is very boring to go over old ground.

I'm more gutted for Dowie and Magilton to be honest.

As a new member to your board, I've never read what's already been discussed. I'm not going to dig out all the old posts, I'm just interested as to what you might know

You will never get to the bottom of this one, never been any truth on the Sousa affair, you will get the company line from one set missing any info that puts them/ GP in a bad light and you will get it was all a set up from the other set .. really the reply you get will depend on who answers you. I suspect the "Truth" is somewhere in between the versions you will hear on here.

What concerns me is dispite the damage that was done to the club by the removal of Sousa,(see what he is acheiving with a much weaker Swansea squad) I have yet to see anyone directly "involved" admit their errors
