So, if you don't make it by 18 you'll never make it then? Poor old Sir Les, he failed to make the grade by about 7 years and that Ian Wright, he never fulfilled his potential did he.
Problem with Sterling is of course not Gianni touting him around. He and Steve Gallen are doing all they can to keep him. The board have also stated they very much want to keep Raheem.
The problem lies with agents getting involved... turning heads of parents in particular who are suddenly being offered big money, new house etc.
Terry - your initial post was so off the mark (even in it's witty sarcastic form) that it is laughable. But then why let the facts get in the way of another dig at the club eh?

can't see the fuss over this lad, we lost dean parrett and we'll lose sterling
cos other clubs offer more/better
they have fa academies, we don't....
if we get simmo then great for a 16 yr old.
what if we keep the lad and in 2 months he is injured, like cook...remember, so many weeping for him and we got £2m whatever, within months injured at fulham, it happens ( and i'd love to see him fit and in team for qpr).
all clubs "visit" the parents.... harry redknapp looked after joe cole when he was a lad....not many range rovers around kentish town back then!
fish you are 100% spot on
you dont have to believe GP but S.GALLEN or M.BIRCHAM
will tell you the club as done everything to keep the boy
like parret he can go for nothing so the club did well to sell parret for a 1m
and will do well to sell Sterling
Some people are more knowledgable than others on some things and vice versa. That's why I dont post on stuff i dont know about and speculate.
As i advised you the other day, maybe you should stick to reading the more positive posts, these are usually started by ha9ranger and routledgeforengland.
That way you don't have to put up with all the negativity. There was a good one on christmas eve, "gianni for knighthood", im sure you could of contributed nicely.
As for speculating, thats one of the main reasons people post, discussing their thoughts on the club, whats going on, on and off the pitch.

I'll cope fine without your advice thanks very much.
As for people's reasons for posting.... It just always seems pure conjecture. There is no balance. Things are black or white. Its GP's fault or not...
Your post regarding sterling was unfounded so seems a little unneccessary - it fuels more negativity as most people will think its true merely cos it was posted. That is dangerous. For the sake of balance, I think unfounded happy clapping is also unneccesary.
Personally I think the club (all elements) make massive mistakes. I also think the fans are too negative. That's just my opinion.

I actually asked the mods( page1) to close the thread once it became clear that sterling was still at the club.
tip number 2.
Always read the entire thread before digging someone out.
