great post on LFW, you never know it might work

    What's our responsibilty?

I totally agree that coming to Loftus Road is depressing at the moment so isn't it about time we did something to make it better - not for the players but for ourselves. We all know that the owners and players couldn't care less but we all do. Why don't we start going mental, create an amazing atmosphere - not by giving adulation to those overpaid *****s but by giving it to the badge.
I don't know how many people on here go every week but between us we probably know every fan in the ground. I am sick of hating the atmosphere and of being ashamed of the club. It would feel good to at least be able to say that we were superb as fans.
Let's start at home to Plymouth, let's go fuc*ing mental.

I'm with you Stan, gonna get JU singing some of the old ones. La, La, La, La Lazarus might even raise the atmosphere from the dead !!

        "We're the Paddock !!!!!"

As a bit of an old....ish hoop, I remember the days of the Paddock v The Loft, the atmosphere was generated from those two areas (mostly from the Paddock though )

It seems to me that the vocal fan base at home is now divided in so many different areas of the ground that it has had a big effect on the volume/atmosphere.

Why can't the R's fans who want to sing reunite in the Upper Loft or the Ellerslie Road Stand or Paddock next to the away fans ?

Is it a question of cost or just loyalty to a certain part of the ground ?

Because a lot of the more vocal fans have been priced out of the "Gold" Upper Loft, and gone in search of Silver Seats, and scattered around the ground.

I thin that is a good post.

There is not a lot in our power to directly change...but the atmosphere we all moan about is.

I would be up for sitting in X block if more people did, but its always undersold thse days.....

Q and R are pretty vocal. No idea what happened to UL - it used to be great, I think maybe the kids area below doesn't help...?

Problem is our vocal support seem to spend more time gaoding the opposition fans nowadays than actually getting behind the team. It has been that that way for a few years now.

Personally would like the fans to let the board know what we think off things at present, Merry Plough Boys Anti GP song was a good un and no songs should be song for players until they start showing some pride in the shirt. Old skool QPR songs should be sung but you mark my words within 15 mins of KO we will hear a rendition of Inbred **** or Is that all you take away.

We have to have one of the least imaginative vocal section of support in the country nowadays.

                Never understood this??

I have seen more inbred looking people in the home end at LR then the away end :horror:

I sit in Silver X block and for some reason, can never hear the Q and R blocks. I think the sound just gets muffled before reaching the other end of the ground. There are always a few in X block trying hard to compete with the away fans but they are just outnumbered and outsung every time. Plus their play list rarely extends beyond 'You dirty northern Barsteward and Oh West London is Wonderful'. Both of which get a bit tiresome.

Would be good if a few of the more vocal fans came down to X block, the banter with the away fans could be great. Of course it will only last 1 game or so before the stewards step in and spoil everyones fun.

Think this is a very timely - and positive - thread.
Is there any way of getting the fans groups together to come up with some ideas of getting us going. It's not going to be the club management - down to us, the fans, to get HQ rocking again.

                      This is so so true.
I sat in xblock and yes although they were shouting and creating noise, they were drunk and just a bunch of louts screaming the same old sh it to the away fans.

I really hate that chant 'you're mum's you're dad, you're dads you're mum you northern sc um'.

I don't understand how some of our support can afford the prices while living off the social it really annoys me. I won't be sitting there again but you also get young burberry prats in the a block in SA acting all hard. None of them watch the game. They also look more inbred than the away fans.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

see, this is where the problem lies, some rangers fans are more concerned what his fellow fan lives or what he does for a living or if he bangs a drum or not, for f&*k sake support the team and stop moaning, do you reckon fellow pompey fans give a monkeys where the tattoed blue haired muppet comes from :embarrassed:

Wewill I don't have a problem at all with that.
                            I am working class.
Lets support the side though and not sing stupid mindless chants.

what needs to be done is what they do in europe, a ultra or tifosi group full of young men that want to sing and get them in one section around the ground needs to be organised. i have been to many grounds in europe and they all seem to have this be it in the top division or the lower leagues.
and before someone says something an ultra or tifosi group does not mean a hooligan element.

me and a few friends are currently mocking up some flags to put in the spare advertising hoardings (in white) that are located on the upper loft, either side of the scoreboard and main sponsors. hopefully these will be appreciated when they are completed.

as i have said before 40 fans from the dutch team de graafschap are coming over for the plymouth game, we have a good friendship with this team, which funnily enough play in blue and white hoops as well. we have been over there many times and vice versa. in f block next saturday we will have till rolls, bog rolls and hopefully a megaphone if allowed in. the only english songs they know is "blue and white army" and "we are blue we are white we are f***ing dynamite" but hopefully good enough to get the place rocking.

obviosly they cannot come over every match so something has to be done.
