  • Good thread on rivals regarding new boss when Hart leaves....

I for one and sick to death of a club with the resources we have going out and appointing second clas managers.

Magilton looked like he was doing a good job untill he headbutted a player and lost the dressing room he also tinkered with a winning team and clearly blew a chance of being a decent manager, naive call it what you want it was plane stupid.

Sousa delivered a boring dire brand of football.

Dowie was never given a chance and the fans favourite LDC is back in Italty guiding Lecce to the top of Seria B

    Clives post is spot on.

Right this season off bring in a top manager and let them manage the team.

I hold the entire boad including Gianni, Amit Bernie and Flavio responsible for the utter shambles this season has turned into.

People have forked out good money this year and the club should be ashamed of how the team is being run our players seem to care about money then the badge and cant be giving 100%

As ever Clives post is far better than mine so read of it and make of it what you will.

knowing our luck we will appoint Tony Adams or Bryan Robson in May will we ever learn!

what we should do is just get through to the end of this season as best we can, spend the time attracting a high quality experienced candidate like coppell or curbishley and let them watch us for the rest of the season. Tell them they have a three year contract and set down very clear targets of where we want to be at specific points of that contract. pay them what they want, give them the coaches they want, let them buy the players they want, let them start the day after the newcastle game. no more favoured agents, no more sporting director system, no more changing of managers every two minutes - just a good, proven manager being allowed to get on with it over a decent period of time.

There was an even better thread involving Fisher and Devlin, but the spineless moderators on here deemed it necessary to move it to non-QPR.

Your Chuckle Brother got a right pasting. You should read it.
QBP 20th August 2009..."To be fair, I'm glad we are top of the table (for agents fees). Shows we are not a selling club anymore."

That is fine in theory, trouble is knowing the way FB runs things either the targets would get re-written, or the Manager would get the tin-tack for being 1 point behind target or something.

But we do need to somehow get a Curbishley-type (and I would be very happy with him) and get a PROPER plan in place. Wonder if we ever will?

As I said on another thread Fulham appointed/sacked 4 , before they got in Tigana, then they were champions.

The club should get in a top manager and leave him to manage. If they get a whiff of discontent from fans after a couple of defeats, still stick with him

I would hardly call Keegan leaving to manage England a sacking.
Micky Adams was sacked, to bring in Keegan.

Our worst decision was Dowie... I see no reason for that one.
The others?? Various degrees of stupidity, but Dowie was the one that started the madness of Flavio Briatore.

            Totally agree with Damien Delaney:
"Writing in Town's match programme on Monday, the Republic of Ireland international said: "When it happens every three months or so, like it does at QPR, you will never be successful. If you run a football club like that, you've got no chance.

"There's been no stability there since Flavio Briatore took over. You can't keep chopping and changing every five minutes - you need continuity, on and off the pitch.

"QPR have had seven managers in the last two years - they can't all be wrong. Look at Iain Dowie - he got sacked after 15 games. We were three points off second place. Crazy.

"The lads loved Dowie and, if he was left in charge, we would have got promoted to the Premier League. I guarantee you that."

However, Delaney was full of praise for QPR's fans, adding: "They are very passionate for their club. They are genuine, good people and they have been promised the earth but it's not been delivered yet.

"I should imagine they are very frustrated. Flavio has been at the club for two years or so now and said he would do this and do that and it's not happened."

                ??
Lewington was sacked 7 years before Al Fayed even took over.

                Anyway, sod Fulham.
The point is about what Delaney said, and I don't know about you?... but I can't argue with it.

I liked Delaney, came across as totally upfront and honest before he left.
Unfortunately, what he says makes 100% sense, and it's difficult not to believe him.
