Getting rid of Sousa was the worst decision in the history of our football club.

Dowie started brightly at Coventry then quickly got sussed out and was then involved in a relegation battle before they got rid. Dowie started brightly with us then got sussed out and we could have easily headed the same way.

Like Magilton & Hart he was the wrong appointment - the only one they had that was right was Sousa - he saw our squad for what it was and was building for a push this season and then....

I think about 98.7% of the fan base now realise that Sousa was the man. Only those still on the de-railed gravy train still feel we're better off without him.

Lets be honest, the whole thing is rotten now. It'll take years to undo the mess we're now in.

Surely that was opening the door to Paladini

Serioulsy though biggest mistake by the club since handing Ray Wilkins a transfer kitty.

We unearthed a real gem in Sousa and due to underhand tactics of the board and for the best part our Chairmen we threw him on the scrap heap...we will regret this decision for many years to come I feel.
I totally totally agree about Sousa. I was gutted that he left because like you I could see what he was building with a poorer side than Hart has now. But Sousa should never have been appointed because Dowie should have been given a chance. 15 games is not long enough. Not if you are Ferguson or Wenger. All managers need time and I agree Dowie's stats make him look better than he is but we needed stability after Gregory then Harford then De Canio left the club.

A year on and we are looking even less stable than ever before.

When we will start undoing this mess though? Changes need to happen at Boardroom level first.

you dont stop supporting the club just vecause it looks like they might not win anything this season otherwise most supporters would never bother going to games.

Not shocked at losing today it was on the cards and not the end of the world.

I do wonder though how long before the scales fall from the eyes of the owners and they join the dots up to work out the real and consistent problems with this club and sort it out
its New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks

i dont think we will ever be able to get out this division.unless we get relegated.
I am sorry if I sound negative, but its all a terrible can of rotten worms

The problem with it was that everyone expected Sousa to do a miracle that season... I said at the time it was wrong to sack him as I could see his potential, however we have to forget about that as its gone now and look forward.

Well, realistically I think we should all just write off this season now and just lower our expectations and be happy with a mid table finish, however, come the summer we may appoint a big name manager so hopefully things will improve...

I don't think people will lower their expectations until the prices are lowered.

If I were asked to pay £10 to see The Lion King then I would expect to see £100 performance and vice versa.
