The MANAGER installed the panic by bringing on 2 defenders for two attack minded players after about 82 minutes. Now, the best way to jeopardise a win is to play players out of positions and cause nervousness, which he did. Its okay saying we had not won a game in 6 or 7, but these players were going too deep before the substituions, and by bringing extra defenders on we went even deeper.
Okay, we won the game and its 3 points. The crowd were not booing the players, they were booing the mangerial tactics and I dread to think what would have happened if it had been 2-2 at the final whistle. Fans want victory and to be entertained and I'm all for holing onto leads, but this was extreme, Borrowdale a left winger, Connolly in midfield?? Yes, it was not pretty but the game was played like we were fighting relegation and not going for the play offs and thats the big worry for the future.
