  • And some thought Sousa was boring

I think Hart took it to another level today especially in the last 15 minutes or so when we had six defenders on but hey ho its three points in the bag and I guess that's all that counts in the end though I could swear some of how so called fans were and are disappointed we won :what:

exactly how i feel mate. hart was so negative it was untrue, reminds me of sousa's tactics.

but the win was needed and we got it. but hopefully we wont see this kind of tactics too often as i go to see football and enjoy it.

Maybe if we had a more balanced squad then harty would of had the options on the bench. Why was bringing defensive ball winners on a bad idea? Which options would you of taken? Pellicori? tough tackling adel? or the big tough frame of Balanta.

As a new member to the board, it is becoming increasingly obvious that alot of posters are blind to the real problems regarding the squad. Bringing Borrowdale and connolly on was not the problem, not having the cover is.

If we had drawn today, alot of people would of been slagging harty off. The fact is, the sporting director should make sure cover is avilable, this is his job, especially as rowlands and mahon are injured. But no, we get Steven Reid for 1 month and then send him back have only played one game, before either Rowlands or Mahon are fit again. Superb bit of a business

Harty would of copped the flack for someonelses incompetence and straight away the messageboards would be in meltdown.
The anti hart campaigns would be well underway, especially amongst the "rose tinted specs brigade" and again the real "problem" would be brushed under the carpet (next to the sawn-off)

Please can you list this mysterious 8-1-1 formation we were playing. Because what i saw was us starting with 451 and finishing with 451.

          Ramage....Hall.....Gorks.......Williams

          Routs...Legs...Watson...Connolly...Borrowdale

          ..............Agyemang

If im not mistaken, that was the finishing 11.

Connolly in a holding role is no problem for him.Hes a composed defensive player who can play the ball on the ground. Id like to see him tried there again.
Borrowdale is a LB who has been praised for his work going forward. No sweat for him to play a defensive LM position.

People have a right to be unhappy if thats what rocks their boat, but what chance does a manager have when people are just going to make up bull just so they can justify themselves in having a moan. I thought only old ladies did that.

Spot on. Borrowdale for Jay on the left is a no brainer that late in the game, and Connolly was needed to protect the backfour (Remember...Fitz was on the pitch...and Buz was just strolling a long the whole game). Think Hart did the right thing with these changes. Defensive - yes, but it was the same formation and it gave us 3 points. Wonder what would have happened if we hadn´t made these substitutions?

interesting comment and l couldnot have put it better myself. Nice to see Simpson up front, so it looks like the board room team selection policy has stopped.......... For now. I wonder if hart saw that Tarabbt is a lazy git at training and offers the team nothing and dropped him.

Take your point and don't get me wrong as I am of course well happy with the three points though its been a long time since I have seen Rangers attacking the Loft but playing the ball in to the corners from the 80 minute mark and though I was disappointed with that I accept it made us hold on to the win.

awful..after 2 games , hart is showing what we'll get for another 5 months..if this was away i'd say ok
but 2 inept home games with no passion,excitement...no
ok 4 pts and unbeaten...don't know if it's good enough for me,qpr and what "we" expect.

i'm having a think, cos i have said 30 awful 1-0 wins is promotion.
                  having 2 like games....i'm unhappy.

It was 8-1-1 with legs and Watson being defensive midfielders.

Do you really care about the performance, as long as QPRFC win that's the most important thing isn't it ? if it's pretty football you want, Arsenal would be a good team as they play pretty football all the time.

Sorry, that doesnt make it 8-1-1

It doesnt even make it 6-3-1

It would only be 8-1-1 if they lined up thus:

Ramage Legs Hall Connelly Gorks Watson Borrowdale Willimas

                        ........................Routledge................. ...............

A Pompey fan told me Hart is very defensive. He won't change the tactics.

Terry Ball, pointing the finger at the sporting director for no cover is really stupid, considering Hart made defensive changes. He moved Simpson to the left and took him off, Vine could have come on?? He wanted to protect the lead we have two players for every position, What about Balanta for example.

He played players out of position and caused the panic and easily could have cost us the game. On the two games so far, the guy is clueless.
