    Pete,

i think you're over egging the Leigertwood pudding somewhat - yes, he's a good tackler, but the way you're going on about him you'd think he was Danielle De Rossi...

Not good enough IMO....he may suit some systems but playing opposite Faurlin (best midfielder at the club ans God only knows why we are not playing him!) the combanation does not work. I would sacrafice Legs everytime. He is not a right back and has been found out several times so far.

          Don't disagree..

Some players need the chips taken off their shoulders and moved down to Div1
Trouble is the contracts/wages they've been given help contribute to said chips..

It was agreed when magilton was in charge. You just need an ounce of intelligence to realise that You cannot really go back on your word when agreed.

I'm for one every happy he is staying, never had a problem with Legs, definitely in the top 5 of our best players, makes sense to secure his services.

Of course you can! You can ****** do what you like until the player has actually put pen to paper!

What a waste of 10k a week! No wonder the club is losing so much money.

Pete, are you on drugs? Just think about it for a second. You want to spend 10k a week on a central midfielder who struggles with passing! Well stone me! If you can't pass a ball for a team with aspirations for the Premiership then we all might as well give up and go home!

Whenever you sign a player or look to extend a current player's contract you should ask, 'does it improve the team?' We can certainly find many players out there for simialr money who can pass a ball to a team mate and actually be able to control a ball!

Top 5 players at Rangers! What a ridiculous comment!

I will give you 5 better players! In no particular order

                  1. Cerny
                  2. Connolly
                  3. Rowlands
                  4. Faurlin
                  5. Routledge

                  (6. Gorks)

Even Gavin Mahon is better than Leigerwood!

Pete, you need to take your blinkers off sometimes with QPR and see the bigger picture. If you want to keep Leigerwood in the heart of our midfield for the next 3 years then your Premiership dream will be no where nearer and you will be owing plenty of money to different people.

Wouldn't put Routledge or cerny in that list.

Legiterwood is class and you know it.

                      Your hole is getting deeper!

                      Leigerwood better than Routledge!

I can't take you seriously anymore!

Cerny offers more to the team than Leigerwood. At least he is fairly good in his position.

                      To be a good midfielder

                      1. You need to be a good passer - he can't do that

                      2. You need good vision- he hasn't got that

                      3. You need a good first touch - he certainly doesn't do that!

                      4. You need to read a game - not in a million years!

                      5. You need a good engine - he does in most games

                      6. You need to be a good a tackler - he can be in some games

There you go, Pete. He ticks 2/6 boxes and you wanna give him 10k a week for 3 years. You must be on something!!!!!!!!!!!!

Outstanding against WBA and pretty good against Sheffield United.

Your just being picky. I'm glad we've kept him.

Gorkks, Rowlands, Faurlin, Mahon & Stewart are all better tacklers of the ball than Legiertwood.

                          Lets analyse this statement.

Legiertwood is our 4th choice centre midfielder at the club if you include Ben Watson in the equation.

                          Legiertwoods Weaknesses include....

                          - Passing - the man is a hospital ball merchant make no mistake.
                          - Ability to control a football in less than 3 touches. - his second touch more often than not is either a throw in or free kick.
                          - Ability to read the game
                          - Leadership - major weakness if your wearing the captains armband
                          - Comunication - Ricket after ricket Legiertwood makes on the pitch due to his poor communication skills on the pitch.

I am absolutely mortified Legiertwood is being offered a new and improved contract....

I suggest you must spend too much time in the executives lounges, drinking champagne.

Many players i wouldn't renew contracts, but Legiterwood is one I would. He runs more miles during a game than any other player, that analysis from the club no-one can argue about, he breaks up play and even two referees who are well renowned in the game, have told me that Legs is our best player.

On his day, he is excellent.

I have seen enough of Legiertwood play to have my own opinion, I need not rely on the opinion of others.
