Tommy smith would be a fantastic asset to the team, we should of got him earlier in pre-season!

Not too sure about Williamson though?

I really do not know where some of you think we are. Get real. These 2 players in Championship terms are top draw and better than anything we have at the moment.

These are the type of players that would walk into most Championship teams and do a job. If you can really see QPR able to sign better players than this you are totally barking. Tommy Smith has only had one good season? What are you talking about. This fella is an experienced, established player who has played in many a better team than we are. In my opinion just what we need.

        Go get em Harty.

          Agreed Mr Lofty.

This teams lack an experienced head especially with Rowlands and Mahon out. More than half of the team is under 23 and could really do with someone like Tommy Smith. He is an intelligent footballer who would know exactly what to do when leading with just minutes to go. He'll score plenty as well as a create a few and would walk in to this team ahead of Agyemang and Taraabt every day of the week.

Agree 100%. the Wycombe supporters I know really rate Willianson and reckon he is as good as Johnson (who isn't doing badly in the Prem). Smithis a forward I have admired for a long time.

                Thats a very big 'if'.

Far more likely we'll pick up a couple of freebies who arent good enough.

Indeed. I'm sure Salernitana, Ancona and Foggia have a couple of ageing donkeys that require a retirement home.......

It will be great to bring both here providing we can sell our players.

How much will these two cost us, anyone have a clue?

I would assume this would be Hartys call re the Portsmouth link. Pete, We all just want good signings in positions they are required. It doesn’t matter a jot who brings them in as long as the signings are worthy. Unfortunately since GP has been involved with us the record in this area is poor. Of course we have made a few good moves but generally QPR's purchases, sales and appointment records have been nothing short of appalling. Do you disagree with this?

tommy smith has never been a prolific scorer

no doubt a good player but we lack a goalscorer and we lack height which is somthing smith doesn't give us. add to the fact he is 29 and unlikely to get better i don't think he is a must signing.

what smith can do simpson can do better imo

Both mediocre. If any good they would be playing in the 1st team already. They are ok for the championship, but can they make it in the premiership??

Dean Windass wasn't prolific either but his experience alongside Campbell's quality got Hull into the play offs and then up to the premiership. Smith alongside Simpson could be a very decent partnership. Yes we need height and Smith isn't the tallest of players but we need experience, intelligence and most of all some quality on the ball.

No they are probably not good enough for the Premiership. In my opinion we need players who are good enough to get you to the top of the championship. These two are. I would take Smith over Buzz all day long. We need proven players at this level. Lets worry about the Premiership when we get there.

ANY PLAYERS WHO ARE GOOD ENOUGH TO PLAY PREMIERSHIP FOOTBALL ARE HARDLY LIKELY TO SIGN FOR QPR. GET REAL PEOPLE.
