  • why are we talking about another defender!

yes we do need a decent right back, but are priority 1st off should be getting a minimum of 2 strikers

yes a striker is important but we are still scoring goals its the defence that seroiusley needs fixing first, hall ramage stewart borrowdale just not good enough.

because a stronger defence means we don't have to score so many to win games......this in turn takes pressure off the strikers.

it can work both ways because if we were banging in the goals the ball wouldnt be in are area

don't be daft...when have you ever seen a match where the r's have been in the oppositions half for the whole 90 minutes.....every team has to defend at some point.

You need a good defence so when the strikers are off form you can still get something from the game.

All the best teams are built from the back. Get the defence operating as a solid unit and then open everything else. You wonder how last years brilliant defence has been ripped to shreds.

Last season our defence was rock solid. This season Sousa has made Swansea's pretty solid as well.

You need to sort this before worrying about more strikers.

We didnt have Taarabt, Buzsaky, Vine, Simpson, Routledge etc last year, so maybe this year we would be higher cos we can score goals, and be tight at the back.

So in the 20 years (guessing you are 20 as I am and you are an 89 boy too) of football, you can think of 1 game where we are dominating. But, we still had to defend. Plus, what about the other 45 games that season, or the 46 this season.

Our defence is the prob, not the attack. Being way to short sighted.

Yes, we need a striker BUT the defence is the weakest position this season.

we do need new strikers - but if we are going to play them on the wing, we may as well not bother

I think if Hart can get the defence as tight as Sousa did last season, QPR will score with the likes of Simpson, Routledge, Taarabt, Buzsaky, but the defence needs to be solid so that the scorers don't need to feel that they have to score at least 3 goals in order to win matches.

Sousa didn't really have enough in attack last season to get QPR scoring.

He only had Taarabt for a few games.

He had Blackstock instead of Simpson, and the latter is far more mobile and links up play better than the former, who was only really useful in the area.

Routledge gets better service from players like Faurlin, Buzsaky & Watson/Mahon than he got when Leigertwood, Mahon and Miller formed a three man midfield.

Swansea struggled for goals in the 1st ten games or so, but Sousa appears to have got them scoring a few goals now, whilst still keeping clean sheets.

If Williamson is good and better than Stewart, Hall or Connolly at CB, then he would be a very welcome addition.
