No point getting rid of Borrowdale - unless replaced with a better left back squad player.Let's say....we think Williams is a better left back...then keep him as the back up but bring in a better left back than Willaims for the number 1 slot.

The million dollar question is keeping them all happy. If we replaced all on that list with better players in all positions, we would hope to then have team capable of a realistic chance of promotion. Then players like...Williams i assume would settle for being back up squad player and it wouldn't then affect our team too much when we had injuries ...suspensions etc....

It's keeping the squad players happy and having an all round balanced squad.

An experienced keeper like cerny, but a good young back up with Heaton.

Only problem is....it's unlikely that we will be able to offload all these playes and even if we could, then getting the right players in....However - that's not our job...it's what the manager gets paid for....We can just sit on our computers and make outragious statements and then go away an moan at the manager and his selections.
    Agree.

The problem always comes back to (in my mind) the sacking of managers. Most managers want a squad of a certain size and style. The whole squad is made up of various different managers players and the squad is imbalanced as each new manager will want new players. Until a manager is given 18-36 months to clear out and rebuild the squad I believe we will continue to fail. In the next 18-36 months the majority of the players will have come to the end of their current contract and the manager can choose to renew them.

Next Summer Burnley have 12 players out of contract meaning if they stay up Coyle can choose which are up for the job and which aren't. If they get relegated he can do exactly the same but at least he'll have the opportunity to do so. If Hart wants a player gone the chances are that he'll be sacked before so which means the players have the power over the manager.

I think we could all write lists of who should be sold (let go) but unfortunately this won;t happen given the length of contracts these players are serving.

Wouls still like to see Alberti have a run out though before shipping him out. What has he played 2/3 games

Stewart and Hall would be my first out of the door. Stewart is by far our most over rated player ever. I still cringe at the POTY award. He used to have Pace and be good in the air...these two attributes seem to have been lost in pre season making him even worse than he was before, which is even harder to believe. He looks like a beached whale with the pace of a snail and the common sense of an emu. Hall is just a joke.

I'd keep Legs for certain. Not the greatest CM, but consitancy lacking, can absolutely boss the middle on his day. Very good RB too so versatility reasons are another keeping factor.

Ageymang has suffered harsh criticism. More so from me. I'd keep him as he definately adds anotther dimension to the game. Gets the odd goals, strong and fast. Poor in the air but still a decent target to use for balls over the top of the defence as he can latch onto them.

Borrowdale has done nothing wrong. Very good defender with decent distribution. Slow as hell, but still good backup for TW.

Reid is a player I like. I know he's capable of better things, so I'd like to see more. Same goes for Watson.

Vine is a very capable player, struggling to return to form after a very bad injury. The jury is out but I'm not giving up on him yet.

The rest on your list can go. Harsh on HH maybe, but he's not really cut it for us. Better suited and appreciated at Watford so best wishes to him.

Just my opinions, so really not that upset whether or not you agree.

I can't see how some of you rate Leigterwood. Watch him closely. He gets over run in midfield. He cannot control a ball. His first touch is terrible. His passing is even worse. He gets away with a lot because of his strength. He has been with us for us for a good while and we just don't progress with him in the side. There is no way we will get promoted of we are relying on him to be in the centre of our midfield. I haven't missed a game all season. Watch him very closely.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

In other words what you are saying is if we actually give a manager time to find his feet our squad is good enough to get promotion.

Not at all mate. Stewart and Hall need replacing, as does HH. We need a holding midfielder with the loss of Mahon and Rowly. We need an RB as even with Legs, Ramage is not cover as he's taken a backstep. We have some good squad players. We need more 1st teamers IMO.

Quite agree. I do feel however that given time Dowie and Sousa would have made a success with these players. I even think Hart will but not neccessarily this season.

Owen Coyle was given the Burnley job at a similar stage in the season. They didn't do much the first season but he was given the time and the resources and they got promoted the following season.

I honestly have faith in Hart providing the board back him. I can't believe some are giving him griefe after one game and stating things like they'll have no patience for him. These are reasons managers can't win with a fan base like ours. I also have the upmost respect for Harford. He's a very good number 2. Let's see what Hart does in Jan and then I'll start to judge. Until then, he's stuck with a team who albeit are capable, are also a mix and match of 5 other managers and a chairman and directors choice. He'll have his own style of football in which he'll need the players to suit.

I think it would be easier to state the players who are GOOD ENOUGH to stay!

This is taking into account any such 4 year plan which is nearing two thirds completion. So promotion to the Premier League being the ultimate objection.

                      Connolly
                      Gorkks
                      Williams (maybe)
                      Taarabt
                      Buzsaky (maybe)
                      Routledge
                      Faurlin
                      Cook (maybe)
                      Ephraim (maybe)

That's it folks. So, we don't have a goal scorer (tell us something we don't already know), we don't have a good enough goaly imo, or right back or partner for Faurlin in CM.

5 other managers I thought it was more like 7.

                        Holloway - Rowlands
                        Waddock - Stewart
                        Gregory - Leigertwood
                        De Canio - Buzsaky
                        Dowie - Cerny
                        Sousa - Routledge
                        Magilton - Faurlin

I agree about the impatience of people frankly it's pathetic! Hart can't be expected to get it right straight away and Saturday's team selection and positioning of players was probably down to Gallen and Bircham rather than his ideas.

If he was to continue to select players out of position then the fans can give him grief but not after one game.

                          1) Agyemang
                          2) Hall
                          3) Leigertwood

For what's it worth, I don't think we will get rid of that many players in January. Maybe 2 with maybe 1 or 2 going on loan. The reason for this is that I think we wont be bringing that many in. Are we really going to appoint someone on a 7 month contract and give him the opportunity to spend X Million whilst increasing the wage bill (which I imagine is high).

I do agree that some players need to go, but I think the clear out that needs to happen wont until the summer at least. Another reason is that say someone come in for example Fitz Hall, they would have to pay a transfer fee and offer him something comparable to the wages he is on at QPR. I don't think many clubs would make this a priority signing based on the points above (not to mention that he is not that great!)

                            As for the original list.

                            1. Peter Ramage -

Personally think some of the abuse he gets is fair and some not. Certainly not 'the worst full back to play for QPR' as others have said. Can potentially play at Centre Back as cover which is his natural position. Keep for the time being

                            2. Damion Stewart

Similar to Ramage, yes he has some 'mares but would retain until options can be assessed until the summer

                            3. Fitz Hall

Has been a very disappointing signing, would love to get rid and get someone else in but who will take him off our hands on the money he is on? Maybe a loan deal could be in the offing a kind of try before you given his injury record could be on the cards

                            4. Mikele Leigterwood

Again would retain until the summer but I would then like to an improvement come in. Personally I think Leigertwood is ok, but no more than that. To whoever said he is the best Right Back in the Championship, what are you smoking and can I have some?! Positionally he is woeful at Right Back, offers little protection to the Centre Halfs and is so easy to play against it is unreal. At Home to Boro he was at fault for at least 2 if not 3 of the 5 goals scored. In midfield he goes from not too bad to a poor Sunday League player in the blink of an eye and as for being a leader, no chance.

                            5. Rowan Vine

Would loan him out to a London League 1 side such as Millwall / Charlton until the end of the season in order to get him some much needed match practice and then reassess in the summer

                            6. Heidar Helgusson

Simply wont work for him here due to the style of Football we are playing and the lack of crossing we do. Also injury prone and if we could do a deal with Watford then I would do so.

                            7. Patrick Agymang

Would like to see him go, but similar to Hall is on big money with another 2 years I think on his contract. Believe me he will be in no hurry to leave as nobody will pay him what we are. Doubt many clubs will be looking to do business unless things change on that front. Whoever gave him the 4.5 year deal needs to be strung up on Shepherds Bush Green!!

                            8. Alesandro Pelicori

Have not been impressed and think he is severely lacking in the displays I have seen. If we can send him back to Italy I would do so.

                            9. Matteo Alberti

When I have seen him neither have I thought he is awful or he is brilliant. Scored a couple last season which I thought might spark him but hasn't. If we are looking to retain him long term send him out on loan to a League 1 club if possible, if we aren't get him a plane ticket with Pellicorri

                            10. Romone Rose

Has only made the team on a few occassions. Has had a couple of loan spells that haven't worked out and I would release if given the chance

                            11. Gary Borrowdale

Not the best but depends on if another Left Back comes in, keep until the summer at least

                            12. Steven Reid

Waste of a loan, back to Blackburn I'm afraid.

Agree with list except for Vine and Leigertwood. I don't rate Leigertwood but he is an interchangeable player and can score goals, as for the rest I don't rate any of them as being capable of taking us to another level.

A very good summmary mate and very similar to how i feel about the players.

Too many on long contracts and high wages. These players were not even regulars for their clubs (Fitz, Heider, Paddy, in particular) and yet were given these long contracts.

Alberti and the pellican have rarely featured, after both were spoken highly of by the spin masters.

The man accountable for these appointments that we will be lumbered with i feel, needs to have his position reassessed as director of football. It's clear that its not just the managers he gets wrong, its the players as well.

Faurlin, connolly, routledge and gorkks are in my opinion giannis only real coups. Not a good return for what must be over 20 permanent signings since the takeover
