Yes, I had mine Saturday. Its good for team spirit, and players are only human and deserve a party as much as the 9-5 average joe.

Can someone tell me what there is to celebrate?
This bunch of players go clubbing enough so I would say no!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

No offence, but it is hardly the same thing. A bash with your team when playing Saturday / Sunday, or even semi pro etc is not likely to have much, if any impact given that those players aren't likely to be as focused on nutrition etc day to day.

When a club is prem or CCC and the players are paid ludicrous amounts of money, it is a very small and insignificant sacrifice of them to not have a p.iss up on the brink of what is notoriously the busiest time in the fixture list with games coming think and fast. They can get lashed in the summer ffs.

If they have a problem with this then i would certainly question their proffessionalism and whether they are the sort of players you'd want at the club.

As for the comparison ot a normal 9-5 worker..... there is no comparison. Are you seriously suggesting that your average office worker getting drunk on a Friday would impact their role on a Monday..? No of course not. However, a good standard team (not just one player, but the whole side) getting drunk when their body intake is normally very specific and restricted, could impact their performance for a few days and certiainly their ability to train immediately after etc. Point being i'm sure there would be a negative impact on at least one match, which is one too many.

I dont know about park players as I dont play park football, but even at non league level we have to follow nutrition rules.....Who says they have to get p*ssed up?? We got told to go out have fun just dont do anything stupid, we also have games boxing day, the monday, and following weekend. I dont see the problem. Obviously if players go out and start raping girls etc then there is a problem but footballers get to much grief IMO.....maybe people are just jealous that they dont have what they have so give them grief I dont know...just let them be and live there lives like any normal person. Has news come out that Routledge threw Buzsaky throw a restruant window?? has news come out Taraabt and big damo spit roasted a girl?? has news come out Cerny started spraying a fire extinguisher around the nightclub?? or news that Simpson nicked a cab and took all the players home??

No, so I dont see the problem with them going out on a saturday for maybe a few drinks.

Absolutely, can't see the problem with them as long as the managers aware of them.
