dowies face didnt fit from the start, bit like crouchie, if you dont look right then you get less praise. Dowie done very well with us, he was very honest and the team certainly knew how to hold on to a lead. Fair enuff it werent quite 5-0 wins, but i guarantee we wouldnt of lost 5-1 at home to ANYBODY.Comment

People don't like Dowie because of his playing days, I know he was never pretty, but he got the job done. He was one ot the best directional headers of a ball I've ever seen. No sense being a 'target man' if you can't create something from it.
His management style was the same, not pretty, but got the job done. It all depends whether you want to play pretty football in the CCC, or winning ugly for a PL spot.Comment
