He will get support, but will have to earn respect at the club as his record is poor to say the least. Forget about the state of portsmouth - his record has been poor elsewhere too.

I couldn't be less impressed by this appointment - I think its the worst we have made for a while and the truly is saying something.

Who cares if he is a "decent bloke" or a "football man"?? That is no recipe for success, just look at Mourinho.. There are many football through and through, old school managers out there - and they are often failures. Judge people by the job they do.
