  • If is to be Paul Hart..

    Then I welcome him.

I have been genuinely taken aback by the negativity from fellow supporters on this board concerning his probable appointment. He was knackered at pompey. At times they make us look sensible. He handled himself well under difficult curcumstances and with dignity too. His reputation comes from coaching at Leeds United. When O'Leary was on TV 24/7, licking Risdale's bottom, Hart was in the background, focussed on their young lads, turning them into proper players.

I suspect he is a proper football geezer (so was Gorman) and we could do alot worse.

But could also do alot better. I think people are negative because we are stuck in a vicous circle where we can only appoint people like Hart because no one else wants to come here. The only way to get out of it is spend money and get a experienced proven gaffer in but unfortuanetly our board seem to have over looked the vital need! As fans we pay ALOT of money and are dealt **** from the club and im afraid something needs to change higher up quickly or we are heading in a direction not worth thinking about.

I honestly know nothing about the man, though his appointment fails to inspire.

I'm not exactly excited with Hart either but he does seem a decent bloke and we could do with somebody that gets on well with the players after the Magilton episode.

Not much we can do about it anyway so lets just see what happens. We win our next few games, which after Monday nights performance isnt out of the question and we may have a different view on things.

Take your points leigh & Quaz but we are a broken, rubbish brand at the moment, our reputation is in tatters, these are harsh words but some would call us a laughing stock. Is it 7 managers in 2 years (admittedly about 4 of those are Ainsworth)?. You cannot turf managers every 5 minuites then expect the great & the good or even Steve Coppell to come banging at your door. The only reason Flav wanted Ferguson was 'cos he could then trade off of his dad's reputation in his 'boutique' (typing in the word makes me want to throw).

Comes across as a no nonsense kind of bloke and genuine. Al;ways liked Harford. Funny enough if had been these two before magilton, I would have actually been more optimistic. Though, was growing to like Magilton and Gorman.

Anyways, he will get my support and I wish him well.

Harry Redknapp rates him very highly.

Personally, I am totally underwhelmed but I hope he proves Harry right and me wrong.

                        Me too.

Let's all get behind him (if it's him) and try and get back into the playoff positions.

I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
