  • Many of Us Think We Are Bigger Than What We Actually Are??

    Including me

What gives our club which gets roughly 13,000 crowds each week, a divine right to have a massive name in charge?

We need one of course to ensure the step in grade, but surely its a little unrealistic?? Who would come, has this club become unmanageable for a big big name:what:

Small club with small fan base, yet big ambitions, idiots at the helm and idiots appropriating propaganda.

Your absolutely right there, we have always been a small club that punches above its weight some times but could never sustain the big time, because in the end we've always had to sell players or are unable to push on to higher levels, why? Because we are a small club.

How many did Notts County have coming through the gates before Sven went there?

And who was it spouting blx about Champions League in 4 years when he arrived?

Call me old fashioned, but I don't associate the likes of Dowie, Magilton and Hart with Champions League.

The old saying is "You pay peanuts, you hire monkeys". We've had enough down here in the last 2 years to make this a bigger attraction than Whipsnade ffs.

Some parts are correct, but Notts County had a major player leave and the manager left today, due to false promises. So not all roses in the garden and you even had some fans on here, saying they would get to the premiership before us, well I'd take that bet

give over. If we had a ground that could hold 30'000 we still would'nt fill it if we were in the prem. Qpr have a small and hardcore fan base that will not top the 25 plus. Half the 32,ooo at cardiff were qpr fans who are nans-uncles and mates. All might be rangers fans but are out for the jolly!! Half of ladbroke grove are qpr but don't go!! Time to get real just how big people think we are !!! I went to wembley in 82(and replay) and 86. We had thousands and it was ####ing great but the start of each season after we were getting 12,000-15,000. Stop the romantic dreaming!!! Been there and done it....

We are Charlton Athletic, in terms of size.

And what they achieved is possible for us to achieve.
We are bigger in terms of core support than Fulham, they're not doing too bad either.

They have something in common though.... appointed good managers (especially Charlton) and had a plan.
Fulham really went for it and got Keegan, and then Tigana.

Maybe they got lucky?, but they grabbed the opportunity and went for it.
And I don't mean just splashing multi-millions on players.
