Queens Park Rangers officially announces that Peter Ramage is unlikely to play again for the club.
Following an incident which occurred over the 93 minutes and 34 seconds of last nights match at the Hawthorns it would appear crowd favourite, Ramage, will need treatment for the next 18 months to un-tangle his legs. With Ramage's contract due to expire at the end of that time. Caretaker boss Steve Gallen said:
"Sometimes life just isn't fair. As a professional footballer, in the Championship, Peter would expect to come up against players of a similar level of ability as himself. Normally that would mean he could play the game in his normal style - face on and dive in on a challenge. However last night a player who could run down the channel and cut inside played for West Brom and this meant Rambo was turned inside out. I've seen the state of his legs and to be honest with you it's one of the worst cases I've ever witnessed - I'm not sure which is Peters left toe and his knee caps are where you'd expect his danglies to be. In short, Jerome Thomas should be ashamed of himself ---- doing that to another pro just isn't on"
Many will argue that had Ramage continued to ply his career as Newk-estle's reserve team substitute centre-back then none of this would've happened.
In a veiled tribute QPR's Sporting Director Chief Executive Super Agent First Team Manager Head of Catering, Gianni Paladinious, said; "Those damn Northern monkey's told me he could play lefta backa, right backa, centre backa... Mamma Mia.... they even said at the Christmas party he could be a Chewbacka. This is all the fault of the rooky Managers - I'm told Bircham has been speaking to da fans telling them players aren't fit and Gallen has headbutted Ramage then changed his name to Steve to avoid an investigation. I'm notta happy".
Another twist (no pun intended) to the tail involved current loan Ranger, Tommy Williams, in what's being called by one club insider "Squad Without a Full Back-gate". Alledgedly, recent reality TV star Williams has been instructed not to head the ball, not to tackle and not to track runners at the far post in case he should suffer a facial injury. This would potentially scupper his fledgling media career in "Studs and Stilletto's" currently being aired on ITV64.
The club refused to comment officially but directed our reporter towait outside The Springbok on Saturday as "..someone In The Know will give you a nudge nudge wink wink it's a done deal he's on the bus exclusive"
:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:
All very sad I'm sure you'll all agree.
(sad that I have too much time on my hands that is!!!)
U R's!
