Pete, have you seen Hart's record? that is a manager that has achieved nothing in management... you might as well give it to Bircham and Gallen. I really can't see why your saying he's a great choice, its based on achieving nothing.

I would take Hart as our youth manager no problem, but not as 1st team manager.

Its often forgotten now that hart kept pompy up. At Forest he is hugely respected and developed their golden generation. for those win stats to mean anything you wd need to look at where clubs were in the league when he took over and where he left them, as well as the circumstances (at Forest and Pompey he was forced to sell all his best players). My main reservation about him is that he wd be a better long term appointment to develop youth talent etc, and we all know he won't be round long enough to do that...

Agree. He had his team sold from underneath him at Portsmouth and people then knock him for having a poor record. His team in the Premiership would struggle in the Championship but don't let that small piece of information stand in the way of people's views on him.

I'm sure fans react to one result, if we had lost last night no-way would those lads have got a majority. Proof if proof was needed that we just don't look at the bigger picture or the future, its all about today.

Dawson, Reid and Jenas all came through the Forest side whilst he was in charge.

As well as with Forest, Hart also had success with the Leeds youth team, winning the FA Youth Cup in 1993 and 1997. Most of that side are what got to the Champions League semi-finals in 2000–01.

I'm happy to be proven wrong but what have Bircham and Gallen done which makes them or their record any better than Hart'?
