For a club to have had this amount of problems for this amount of time, the root cause can only come to rest at one place and that is the door of those running the club. If things arent right there it is an inevitable truth that the problems will filter down through the ranks. Until that problem is addressed, undoubtedly the club will continue to lurch from one blunder to the next.

When Briatore arrived, in his first interview he declared that to build a successful club it is essential to start from the bottom and create solid foundations on which to build.

The reality is he has done the exact opposite. E.g. Youth development - if that isnt building from solid foundations I dont know what is. Its just one example of countless oversights and mistakes you could reel off all day long. He refers to this as his 'project'. If this had been a school project in 'how to run a successful football club' it would have been an unmitigated failure.

    I agree.

Things seem to have gone worryingly quiet from Briatore and the like. Leads to an uneasy vibe around the whole club. Never before have we needed strong leadership.
