  • Only two men can succeed here

step forward steve coppell or george burley

both are excellent at club level and i think anyone else will fail.

hand on heart genuinely think these are the only two to consider

Another nutty poster. Neither would touch our regime with a barge pole. Why don't you get it, it really is that simple.

We will end up offering it to a low profile, low ability manager 'cos 1. We don't splash the cash and 2. Any self respecting manager will keep well away.

No offence meant, btw, but get real!

you obviously failed to get to grips with what my post said.

all i said was these are the only two who could succeed. and lets not get too carried away here, neither are 'superstars' who couldnt be lured with a lots of cash.

          Nah, you're missing my point.
YOU are living in a dreamworld if you think our board is going to offer anyone loads of money; they have proven to be very
frugal with their money and I can't see that changing!

Still, keep hoping that will change if it makes you happy!

                Hart another cheap option.

Coppell proven track record but wouldn't touch us with a barge pole the board have bought this on we're the laughing stock in football circles.

Which top manager is going to apply for the job answer no one.

                welcome hart!!

i doubt fitz hall's, wayne routledge's, patrick agyemang's, rowan vine's, radek cerny's, or indeed anyone of our 'superstars'' bank accounts would say flavio and co have been 'frugal' with their money.

They're still only on a GOOD Championship wage. Coppell and Burley would be Premier League.
You'll not win this one, so move along and Happy Xmas!

I would agree that most managers wouldn't and shouldn't touch the QPR job but Burley's light isn't shining to bright right now after Scotland and his previous club job. Has done some great things, I think it's a good call and not out of the question.

Was it not Burley that turned Hearts into a top 3 team, then quit because the chairman wanted him to play more Latvian's,as he is Latvian himself?.

Not one for interference from upstairs then.

Plus Gorkks will bring back nightmares for him lol!.

That will be a no from him then.

Scotland is an impossible job, I wouldn't judge anyone on that!

His previous club job was Southampton... and (seeing where they are now), I'd say him taking them to a penalty shoot-out in the Championship play-offs two years ago was pretty good going!
He has never done a bad job at any club he's managed.

                            I'd take him.
