Interesting articles on Football managerial sackings are QPR worse than other clubs?

Found a couple of articles about managerial sackings. the first one has states how the regularity of sackings and obviously experience of the manager reduce the winning average, something our club should take note of, however according to the stats we seem to be as bad as many other clubs out there.

No other club has been as careless as our current regime in 'losing' managers.
Our board is not content unless they have three names in charge per season - you name one other club that comes close!

We are by far the worst and our board are just a joke when it comes to understanding football matters.

Anyway, a manager or coach is irrelevant at our place, the players so obviopusly hold the influence...

Agree Davman, think the board need to decide what they are trying to achieve here and make some thoughtful decisions based on taking the club forward and especially what fans want which is a stable successful football club

They have sacked three managers - John Gregory, Ian Dowie and Paulo Sousa.

Personally I thought that the reasons for sacking Dowie and Sousa were crass short termism. But Magilton has lost the dressing room through stupidity (daft selection, bad manmanagement and aggressive behaviour) and deserves to be sacked. The sooner the better for QPR's future.

What interests me is why they picked these particular individuals in the first place. Dowie was known to be his own man and unlikely to accept a chairman's interference in his job. Sousa was completely inexperienced in English football with no knowledge of the Championship and obviously on a massive learning curve. There was never any point in appointing him without giving him two seasons at least. Lastly we have Magilton who had a history of an aggressive approach, plus chopping and changing his teams and favouritism towards certain players. Presumably Flavio wanted the aggressive approach but it has been his downfall.

While the board chose so badly and react so impatiently we will continue to have a quick turnover. Which is very frustrating because the squad is clearly capable (with loanees) of getting in the promotion playoffs.

On the stats - are managers sacked quickly because their results are bad OR are the results bad because the managers are not given time? As usual in the media they do not consider the possibility of mixing up cause and effect.

JM hAd a squad worth more than qpr's and did nothing in yrs there.

whoever comes in...flav/gp, new manager and squad need an open discussion of the do's and don'ts from day 1...(open for them, behind closed doors)
