The limitations of an unbalanced squad and a manager with limited ability got sussed out - eventually the penny may drop with Flav as to where the real problem lies..

          Yes.

Maybe Flavio will realise it is all his fault. He keeps sacking managers and employing managers not up to the job.

He also lets someone have free reign overseeing the debacle and assembling a squad.

Rowlands and Mahon's absence. And an impatient chairman looking for someone to hang out to dry. Stupidly, Mags gave him that reason. Been here before. Quel Surprise.

It didn't go wrong in November or December. It went wrong - AGAIN - with the appointment of Magilton. Losing the players was never in doubt, it was only ever a matter of when.

It previously went wrong with the disgraceful removal of Sousa. And it first went wrong with the appointment of Dowie, a man who was never ever going to get on with the Board. He did the dirty on Jordan at Palace, and pretty much destroyed Charlton in three months.

What are you talking about Bernie?
The football we played in sept and oct was the best football we have played since the 90's. Once he lost a leader in Mahon and Rowlands things changed plus poor pitches have not helped the cause hence why we made a mistake and didn't buy a big strong centre forward to assist simpson
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I tend to agree with a lot of this.

We had probably the easiest start to a season possible, and failed to beat the likes of Blackpool, Peterborough, Palace and Coventry at home, (allowing for the fact that dropped points at home to Forest, Leicester and Middlesborough can be considered acceptable). Added to the 2 points lost away to Plymouth and not including the recent disasters, that is 10 points that really any team with serious intentions should have picked up, particularly with the players we have available.

That would have left us joint second coming up to Monday's game, where there would be no pressure as we would have been progressing nicely in line with our expectations.

Unfortunately, our woeful finishing from in and around the box has cost us dearly, because we did have several relatively straightforward chances in each of those games.

The result of this is that we have heaped more unnecessary pressure on ourselves, which will no doubt affect our performances from here on in. It's all very well the manager coming out after a defeat, or a draw such as the above mentioned and saying that we now have the opportunity to put it right, but we keep failing to do just that and nearly half the season has now passed and we are way off where we should be.

In my opinion, 3 wins from our first 10 league games is where the problem lies, far more than the recent set of results, as we have won 4 out of our last 10.

Perhaps, the penny may drop in time, that we need a good, respected and experienced manager, along with a striker or two who is capable of troubling the oppositions keeper when given the chance, as opposed to the coffee cup of someone in the upper loft.

On a more positive note, still plenty of time to get back on track for a top 6 finish as most of the teams in this division are as bad as each other. But only if we act quickly. If we sign a top quality player early January, as opposed to the usual scenario of waiting till near the end and then pick up one of those that nobody else wanted, then there is still hope.

Ever club has a good run and in october we were on fire playing some great stuff no doubt about that everything clicked for those few games but either side of that month we've been average at best, drawn games we should of won the same old story really.

The players beileved all the things written about them after the derby game and it seemed they thought they needed to just turn up to win games, dont believe all this bullying rubbish their grown men and should be able to take the odd #######ing which everyone gets in day to day jobs in they muck up or performances is'nt upto scratch.

what went wrong was not appointing a winner as manager instead of rolling out loser after loser.the money that has been spent on pay-offs could have been used to lure a big name here 2 and a half years ago.the whole structure is wrong and don't tell me flav has nothing more to do with team affairs as i know for a FACT he does.the board and the management should be two separate entities until such time as the manager wants to enquire about players.we have the third richest board in the world who are clueless about football and need to leave managers alone to go about thier business.i cant see a big name coming here now unless they are sadistic or after a big payday.
what the hell was god thinking of when he thought of hamsters?
