yes me 2 - just think Hart wld be a tad underwhelming to say the least.. esp as you know he will only be given a contract till the end of the season.. which suggests the board are not looking long ter with the next appointment .... just my opinion mind....

I would love O'Driscoll as he plays the game the right way and gets the best out of his players. As regards to Hart he had an excellent reputation at Forest but obviously the scenario at Pompey wasn't the best.

Hart got Forest into the playoff semi's,but the next season they sold their best players and would not let him buy so they really struggled big time. And that's when a manager has to stand up and be counted and do the best he can with what he has.

He went 14 games without scoring.:horror:

At least we could sing 'Are you Sousa in disguise'.

O'Driscoll was one that i fancied before Magilton came in.

Good manager, but in order to get in a manager quickly then your down to 3

                Hart, Southgate or Ferguson

                  Well worth a shout...

I championed him prior to Dowie but it didn't amount to much. At present they are just below us and I bet he's spent less than a third of what JM had at his disposal so let's hope that the board take note. Highly unlikely though. Quite dismayed at the prospect pf Paul Hart if true....

Had forgotten all about O'Driscoll, but what a good shout.

Would take him over Hart or Southgate anyday.

Why does it have to be done quickly and surely they are not the only managers available.

Curbishly and Coppell makes 5 and I'm sure someone can throw a few other names into the ring.

The biggest question of all is who would want the job.

pete sounds like most on here have given up on achieving this season so why the rush.whenever we need a new man at the helm we always look to the ones out of work.sez it all really.if the money men are true then the right man will be employed.poached or not

Could also get a manager in within a week if we were prepared to pay compo to the club he works for, and he was willing to come.
