  • My thoughts...for what they're worth.

Jim has not been as good as many have made out. As I said the other day, and also another poster looked at in more detail today...we had NOTHING more than a purple patch. One or two lucky wins and too many poor draws which we should have won with the tools we have does not look good whatsoever. We've dropped far too many 'easy' points and that's down to the managers choices. We had the 2nd best defence in the league last season, so he's clearly messed up somewhere, hasn't he?

Now...I very much dissagree with the way this has happened again, but I sincerely doubt he had much longer with us either way. This does not make right Flabbio's get out clause for gross misconduct, but it does also say to me that this would have been their intentions anyway.

The players clearly don't like the manager and this is blatantly effecting their performances on the pitch. None of them are enjoying their football and Aggy's lack of celebration just captures the feeling amongst the squad. Nobody knows where they stand. Some of his clear favourites are allowed to perform poorly, but the ones that we know are better can be dropped just because they won't dissagree.

Something isn't right here, and rightly or wrongly, Jim's position is in my opinion the most expendable, therefore the more likely to be replaced. Again, this is not the right way to do it, but still the right decission.

Dissagree with what you like. Just my opinion.

    Edit...I meat 'agree'

Benny you may be right, but after two defeats you would be pished off. look how angry you were JM manged the team and I would absolutely flamagasted with that performance. If we had won, then it wouldn't have happened, so players must take some responsibility. We all agree Faulrin and to a degree Agyemang had good games, I would give ther rest a b.ollocing wouldn't you??

You can question team selection, but it becomes a matter for the board to decide JM's future, not the players.

I have the same thought about Buz, will he now think he can hold the club to ransom whenever things don't go his way?

He appears to be a prima donna and might do more bad than good to our team but will the board let him leave or put him up for sale? I doubt it very much!

Pete, of course they deserve to be rollocked for under-performing mate, but JM has clearly upset the mood. When these players look happy...they are awesome, but they look unhappy. They look almost defeated before they kick off. No smiles. No togetherness. No unity. Infact, i've never seen a bunch of more dis-heartened players.

Have to agree with all of that. This is not the first time the club have found a convenient excuse to get rid of the manager cheaply.

Let's not also forget that players are a commodity, they have a sell on value. where as managers are not so lucky.

We have heard from too many people that we have had a couple of bad results, but the facts are that we had a month of good results that managed to paper over a pretty poor season so far. The facts are that we actually have one fewer point than we did last season after 20 games......

Benny I agree with what you say.

I may have been the poster you referred to.

It doesn't matter how bad they performed at Watford. The reason for that performance was quite evident...the players are clearly not happy with JM or his team selections.

Just because a player has 1 poor game, he doesn't necessarily deserve to be dropped. How about if Magilton gane that player a chance to put things right in the next game?

Partnerships in teams need time to develop, but JM doesn't work that way.

Why were Buzsaky,Taarabt & Simpson dropped. Two of them scored against Coventry and the other ran them ragged, but just because they were not good against Middlesbro, they get dropped.

He has done similar things to other players throgought the season. Of course, Hall who has had poor game after poor game is the exception. This causes unrest and demotivates the players, but never mind all that, the moment a player speaks out, some fans on here get on there high horse and call him a prima donna.

Who said buzsaky is sulking? Again, someone else listening to posters who think they know what is happening. Trust me, they dont.

The players have alot to answer for as well upto the doncaster we were 4th in the league sitting pretty and playing the best football we've seen since the early 90's. Yes we've thrown away points with silly draws at home and away at plymouth, the defeat at swansea would never had happened if rowlands hadn't let us down with a stupid tackle.

Granted magilton has chopped and changed the defence all season which doesn't help,he fell out with taarabt before the donny after he turned up late after the international break and every right to leave him on the bench. We dont see what happens on the training field all wk what problems their are within the squad but footballers these days are to big for their boots i have a feeling our squad started to think they'd made after our little purple patch and it all went to their heads.

After the last two performances magilton had every right to lay into the team on monday night and give them a right #######ing, sir alex wouuld of done the same thing wouldn't here? It just shows magilton was passionate and knew like we know these players are better than their showing.
