    which, as manager of QPR, JM is perfectly entitled to make decisions upon (especially after a 5-1 tonking at home) - I cannot believe that a majority of stuff I've read has been anti-Magilton.
    Yes, If there was assault, then the individuals involved need to face up to their actions. However, football is a passionate game for players, fans and managers.
    I have some questions;
    1. Would you prefer the coaching staff to be passionate about what happens to the club, or just yes men who do as they're told?
    2. I remember those handshakes and kisses from the great Brian Clough, extended to the fans he whacked after the game. I don't recall any legal actions there?
    3. Alex Ferguson kicking a boot at Beckham. I wonder if the United fans were clambering for Fergies resignation after that one?

    PASSION - PASSION - PASSION.
    Its a big word in football. One thats been missing from QPR far too often in the past.
    First game ; QPR 1 Bolton Wanderers 3, Saturday 2nd December 1978.

    yeah but JM has arguably the best squad in the division and he/they are seriously under performing....what a dramatic decline since Derby away etc and for that reason the board needed to have a long hard look at whats going on....JM nutting people has just forced them into a decision they were probably gonna make anyway....WHAT A MUG ! !

      He didn't nut anyone!
      Squaring up to someone is a big difference.
      Very good post my fellow SURREY R's
      I played sunday league football today.

      Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

      I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

      We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

        1. I'd prefer the coaching staff to be professional in their conduct and demonstrate their abilities in a way that builds trust and respect with their players, rather than fear and resentment.
        2. A different era in term sof litigation and standing up for one's personal rights, although you'll remember that the fan had trespassed onto private property.
        3. I think you'll find that if Fergie had intentionally aimed a boot at Beckham, the outcome might have been slightly different. As far as the fans were concerned, Fergie had been at the club for decades and had demonstrated his ability as a manager many times over which no doubt cut him some slack. Had players been injured or abused after every other defeat, again the view would have been different and Fergie wouldn't have lasted six months in the job.
