If someone is passionate enough to be driven to tears about a job they care about, I quite like that passion.

There's a lot of people on this board who are trying to be macho, all this boys don't cry stuff. Well, if something matters to you, then there's every chance that at some point someone might shed some tears. And this homophobic crap that Buzz is gay. If he is, so what, but put your trophy dogs to one side, stop trying to make up for some rather small penises, and look at the bigger issue.

If a manager is abusing his (or her) authority and bullying, that is completely wrong.

You lot want passion from players, but then get all macho (I say that with irony) when someone shows some of it. Grow up.

      Why can't a player cry?

I'm sure some of you have been bullied at work etc and have had some tough times with your managers. So whats the difference?

Exactly Cait, but some blokes aren't man enough to even admit they have any kind of sensitive side at all. It take much more of a man to admit when he is sad or show some genuine emotion other than this macho sh*t.

Who are you to decide when someone is at breaking point? It sounds like the mentioned player was distraught about a period of ill-treatment, not just a moment of aggression. I am sure you are the hard man indeed. Well done.

If I ever have a son I won't be bringing him up to be such a dinosaur.

Revvos's!!, a former haunt of JFISH, i am suprised he was allowed out the Saturday before a Monday game.

Could that have caused the problem..?

I'm sorry, but any man who blubs like a girl, because his boss has given him a rollicking, has got to kick this "sensitive" aspect of his nature into touch a.s.a.p.

If you're a man, act like a man. If you're a girl, blub all you like, when you like, that's how it should be.

That geordie *****, Gascoigne, used to make me cringe when he started turning on the waterworks.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with men being macho, it's starts looking iffy when a man starts to act like that bird in "Ghost Whisperer", she's always blubbing.

In 20+ years of managing in various offices the only tears I've ever seen have been from girls. The tears are normally just "switched on" to get their way and soon stop once I tell them to stop being a brat and act like an adult. A footballer bursting into tears beggars belief - makes me cringe and worry what sort of bozo we have in our squad???
