  • Season over?

If this isn't sorted by January is it season over? Without a manager I can't see any signings (apart from a few unknown Italians) I can see this being dragged out for months.

Sack jim and appoint a manager or let him get on with it.

A consistent team who were being managed well for a few weeks showed that they could beat and beat comfortably anyone in this league. Even if we don't make another signing but just appoint someone who can man manage then no the season isn't over.

I see what your saying but watsons loan is up in January, so we have no defensive midfeilder apart from faurlin who is not a defensive mid, he is a center mid that can tackle and we need another striker

        When is Mahon due back?

Ramage can play right back and Leigertwood can play defensive midfielder.

In all honesty we've never struggled to sign players even in uncertain times. Players will go to clubs because of money and as long as we are prepared to pay it then we will sign players regardless of who is in charge.

          I agree.

The rot began with the defeat against Leicester. Mahon was injured so Magilton recalled Leigertwood back into a midfield role that he is not good enough for. Watson was banned, but I thought he should have played a 4-4-2with Buzsaky in a midfield role alongside Faurlin.

After this defeat, he dropped Ramage and Stewart (although, he may have been ill). He then played Hall at CB at Sheff Weds then replaced by Connolly. QPR won.

However for the next game, he changed the central midfield again to accomodate Reid and QPR lost. He blamed this it seems on Gorkss & Reid who were dropped for the next game.

Then when QPR failed to win against Coventry, after he made a terrible substitution he dropped Connolly for the Middlesbro game.

He then dropped Gorkss for the Watford game alongside most of his creative players and source of goals.

Well done that man, but of course it is all the fault of Paladini and Briatore!!

The only thing (a big, big thing) they did wrong in this scenario was to appoint Magilton in the 1st place.

If a decent manager is appointed and he keeps the flair players, but adds some consistancy to the defence, I think QPR will recover. i.e. get a decent defensive midfielder in to cover for Mahon (before anyone says, no, not Leigertwood) and select a partner for Gorkss (not Hall).

I think the problems arose from Magilton's contant changes to the backbone of the team. Every successful side needs stability in this area. Look at how good Newcastle are defensively. I don't think they change the CBs or CM's every game.

In my opinion thats another season wasted and all this after a month or so ago looking like real serious challengers. Other clubs in our div must be laughing their b olloks off at this. Whether Madge nutted Buzz or not this whole episode will increase the 'Comedy that is QPR' feel in football and sooner rather than later no one will want to work as manager under the current owners.

                        Yes it is 100% finished.

You can't expect another manager to come in 4 weeks and create a winning team and gain promotion?

With the state of the club, I would say 10th is the maximum for us now. Top 6 you need a good team spirit, a stable club and a good manager, we have none of those credentials now.

but attackingwise we do have quality enough to get to the playoffs. We looked disjointed on monday, not lack of effort. If we can get someone into manager the players, we'll be fine

yeah another season over as far as im concerned. what manager in their right mind would want to come to our circus of a club?
every season its the same old story.
the board must be rubbing their hands that this has happened, will give them another excuse not to spend the funds needed in jan for the promotion push!!!
