According to Dennis Wise back when Sousa was sacked Ferguson was the man we wanted in the summer.

I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I agree, his stock has dropped big time since his failure with Peterbourgh this season.

I have never understood the love affair with Ferguson. Fair enough he got back to back promotions but he was backed financially quite well by that Irish chairman.

In a fantasy world i'd love Stuart Pearce here even if he stays with U21s in a dual role. Imagine the young English talent he is aware of!

Was Ferguson given another time to succeed as manager? The argument that continues everytime a manager loses his job is how much time is enough time? I've said it before and I'll say it again Coyle was just games away from being sacked last season but he was backed and Burnley have reaped the rewards as a result.

How much financial backing was Ferguson given to succeed in this division? He was given plenty in lower divisions but hardly anything to make the step up. Knocking Ferguson for a dozen games in a division with League One players is unfair.
