As I posted on the Player Power thread

Some reason our current crop of players don't want to play for anyone ....seen threads on Dowie, Sousa & now Madge losing the changing room etc etc ...weren't we led to believe by QBP and chums in the summer that despite the fans not wanting or being impressed with the appointment of Madge it was thought the players were heavily involved in this appointment?

All the players were behind Dowie and wanted him to stay. Unfortunately, Dowie didn't take kindly to GP and FB meddling and had the balls to tell them to their face.

Better squad, better position... Wont be quite as much expectation, will be given more money as desperate times call for desperate measures. There are reasons why.

Not sure why anyone sees this as really bad news. The Board appointed a complete clown, left themselves with nowhere to go other than support him when it inevitably went wrong because of the previous turnover of managers.
Now they can get shot because of his own rank stupidity at no cost and can hold their hands up and say they had no choice.

It's an opportunity to do what should have been done in the Summer, spend whatever money is necessary to bring in an experienced and respected manager. If that doesn't happen this time, we may as well all go home as it shows the Board are incapable of learning from their repeated mistakes.
