  • Discuss Borrowdale

We'll do the same for each player so we can discuss them.

Why didn't he put his leg out to stop Watfords second goal, I was fuming at the TV screen calling him every name under the sun and sure was not the only one, other than that he's been doing OK.

wrong thread, I think all the screaming and shouting has left me confused at what is right and wrong, I couldn't believe what I saw yesterday, from team selection to performance

Able defender. Pace is a problem, however.

I can't discuss him. Just thinking about him makes me depressed.

Think its time to give williams a go, borrowdale has improved but he doesnt do enough to stop crosses, he must be a dream to play against you get so much space its stupid.
Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

Donkey, as is Ramage. 2 x new full backs urgently needed.

League 1 defender - goes missing frequently in games hence why he doesn't get as much stick as the likes of Hall for errors - you've got to be involved to make them! Has he ever prevented a cross? - Sousa realised it hence why he never got picked under him - say what you like about Sousa but he knew a thing or two about defenders..

Williams deserves another chance - can hardly be judged on 1 game when the whole team never performed!

If ever there was a player who illustrates how little people actually watch what's going on, it's him. They should have "Missing - £500 Reward" posters all over LR with his mug on them. The only talent he has is for not being where he's actually needed.

The number of times last night that Faurlin had the ball, held it up waiting for the LB overlap that never came were simply laughable. Compare him to Ramage, who is similarly limited talentwise, but has bottle and heart in spades, and who kept coming forward to support and got three or four very decent crosses in.

He's a lazy little so and so, always takes the easy option, last night's second goal being an example. He could have gone to contest the pass, he could have gone to close down the guy who scored. But easier instead to run diagonally putting their bloke under no pressure whatsoever. Never stops crosses. Never tackles. Always looks to pass as soon as anyone comes within 20 yards of him, irrespective of whether it's putting a teammate in difficulty.

Very very poor LB and poor excuse for a pro footballer.

                              Borrowdale - Not For Me

If we are aiming for playoff postions we need full backs that are both creative when attacking and competent when defending. I would give Borrowdale 3 out of 10 while attacking and 6 out of 10 as a defender. His main strengths are his composure on the ball in defensive situations, and his ability to pass out of defence. However, he rarely contributes to the attack with any fast overlaps, meaning that the opposition's defence can double up on the wide left attacker. Watford's fullbacks contributed so much more going forward than ours on Monday. He is also poor at closing down his winger. Ramage is just as bad. I would play Connolly right back and buy another left back. Williams is not the answer either as he can't defend.
