  • What are people expecting from a manager?

the players are only human, so is the manager. Who exactly have we had who hasnt had faults?

Holloway did great but could only get us so far
    Gregory was poor in general
Francis is a legend, but could only do so much
De Canio was great attacking, but poor defence
Sousa was all talk, defensively good but no goals scored
    Dowie was too defensive
Magilton changes the team too much

What do people want? every manager has a downside, we cant have everything - we are a championship club. I think we need to stop over reacting so quickly. We are poor at the moment yes, but still within touching distance of the playoffs, and a few weeks ago we played some of the best football ive seen for years with no exageration. Stick with JM - and if hes not improving the side by january or so, then fair enough, but people calling for him to be sacked already is an over reaction in my opinion.

Holloway - was learning the job for us and is doing a superb job at a much unfancied club now.Would love to see him back.

Plus Francis had Ferdinand so had a massive advantage over any other Rangers managers since.

Dowie was doing alright ...wouldn't say he was too defensive ...won something like 9 out of 16 games (SirPie correct me!)

Think we were about 7th when he got sacked so not a good sign for Jim.I thought Dowie was doing okay. But he supposedly fell out with Flavio and the axe fell. How long before he has a bust up with Jim?.

Very well said, we already have one of the worst reputations in football for sacking managers, and yet another sacking 'aint gonna improve the calibre of manager we attract.
How about we offload those players who refuse to play to their full potential? Now, I'd definitely be up for that.

would take holloway all day....remember losing 6-1 to leeds....following game 1-0 win.......this manager 5-1 defeat and drops the main part of the team...to which the teams reply was #### it we can't be bothered....
prefer a manager who has passion for the club....not a bully who throws his toys out the pram.
