its not a case of jim getting the fans back on track...its a questions of the fans taking a look at themselves..the speed at which so called fans will write of the team the manager and the players is a disgrace.yes we have hit a bad patch..but so will others ..the season is only just half way and there is alot to play for still so instead of starting up pointless polls about when the manager will leave how about supporting the team the club the same way we did a few weeks ago when we were knocking in goals for fun..its a marathon not a sprint people and such overreactions by the fans do nothing to help the overall stability of the club.

Well said.I know many clubs have fickle fans, but ours are up there with the best of them.

Like many fans have said on here, our good run only papered over the cracks. We were poor defensively at Derby too. Reading were on a very poor run & Barnsley had a hopeless manager they do not have now.

all clubs have fickle fans and we are no different. However, many fans have the experience of decades of watching their team play and whne they say that things are not as they should be, based on what they see happening on the pitch, they generally are not far wrong.

Constant changes in the personnel in defence, seeing their team beaten 5-1 at home by a team that is generally lucky to score five away goals all season, sloppy goals leaked from a previously watertight defence, players not celebrating when they score, players being ejected from dressing rooms and left to wander round an empty stadium....you could go on and on, these are not signs that all is well, and in fairness you'd be pushed at the moment to find many positives.

I personally have seen many managers come and go from LR, and generally you have a good idea as to whether a manager will be successful before his team kicks a ball. Over the years, the only one who surprised me was Olly, didn't think he'd amount to much. So I'll tell you that I always thought JM was the wrong appointment, and I've seen very little so far to change my mind.

                  he never had the fans
                  an unlikely choice
i can't think i saw his name mentioned on any of the mbs as a possible...

he has done ok, good football but it's a results business.
after wba, i think he's gone as we get thumped 3-0..the damage and repercussions of a fractured squad won't heal in a week

HOW DOES BUZZA FEEL TODAY, IF NOT WITH THE FLU!?

No chance if he can't work it out with the legend that is Buz.

to be fair buz has hardly warranted a legend status lately!

Barnsley had the same manager as they do now Mark Robins

Magilton was definitely winning the fans over, up to about 4 weeks ago.

trouble is, instead of building he rather panicked and has tinkered ever since.

I think a more fitting question is 'Can Jim get the players back onside and how?'

Spot on. But to his defence it should be said that Mahon was injured at the same time.
