Right, it's been a little while since I posted on here and to be quite honest I am frankly depressed by recent results and goings on at the club!
The thing I want to know is who is calling the shots when it comes to matters on the pitch?!!!!
Cast your minds back a couple of months, we were beating teams off the park and other sides were referring to us as the best footballing side in the division. Now we can't seem to buy a win. What exactly has changed?
Well there have obviously been a few changes in personnel with Mahon and Rowlands out long term (and sorely missed), and Williams coming in. More worryingly than that our loss of form can be traced back to the very day the Flavio Briatore came out of hiding following the F1 scandal.
I've gotta be honest and I can see a few warning signs that Fat Flav is sticking his nose in where it is not welcome again. A few questions I've been pondering:
Why do Fitz Hall and Mikele Leigertwood always start if fit regardless of recent form or who else is available? Ring any bells with a similar situation with Parejo and Ledesma under Ian Dowie?
Why has JM gone from clearly knowing who his best 11 is to non stop tinkering again? The man seems completely incapable of keeping any consistency in the side, could this be a sign that he's being leaned on by Flav?
How many players are we going to sign that have no impact on the 1st team? Obviously we have Pellicori on the payroll who by all accounts would struggle to turn out for a League 2 side let alone a top Championship side. Since then we've brought in Williams who has been unable to dislodge Borrowdale, who let’s be honest is far from the complete full back. Who signs these guys?!!!!!
More worryingly still, what tripe is going to be served up to us in January in terms of new signings that are going to save our season?!!!!
It's clear for all to see that we are lacking leaders on the pitch. We need a midfield marshall in a similar mould to Mahon. We need somebody at the back who is going to organise Connolly, Hall and Stewart, who at times, left to their own devices can look like headless chickens. Most importantly we need a goal scorer to take some of the responsibility off the shoulders of Jay Simpson. Unfortunately I don't think we've got a hope in hell of getting what we need!
Over the last couple of years we've had more managers than Rik Waller has had hot meals and sooner or later they have all been sacked. When are we going to wise up and see that it is not the manager we have in charge or the playing staff (which on the whole have been the best players we've had in a decade). The problem is we have a power crazed ***** in charge of the club which is poisoning everything about us.
You only have to read reports of Nelson Piquet Jr and other guys that have worked with Flav at Renault F1 to understand what he is like to work with. Piquet has gone on record as saying he was told before numerous GP's that if he didn't score points this week he wouldn't be there for the next race. Stands to reason that Flavio would probably adopt a similar approach to his managers at QPR.
I think the time has come to say "Thanks Flav, but enough is enough. QPR cannot move forward with you at the helm".
