Yes they need to be able to handle criticism, but so does the manager too. Also, criticism can be given in many different ways, and coming from someone whith no track record in management, and who some of our players are better than he was as a player, it might be harder to take. Especially when Jim publicly criticises some players yet refuses to publicly criticise his favourites.

And of course players need a kick up the ####, but you do that behind closed doors, you dont slate a player and destroy his confidence in a press conferance, which he has done on numerous occasions.

Hes lost the dressing room, the players didnt even celebrate when we scored.
Hes getting it wrong on and off the pitch and he needs to go before players decide to walk.

That's all well and good, but when you have Hall who was at fault for atleast one goal on saturday and nothing is said about him and still starts today, while Gorkks is dropped to the bench, what does that do for morale?

Magilton got it badly wrong and he's looking for a scape goat. Dropping most of your creative players and your top scorer after getting smashed 5-1 is not the answer.

You dont see Sir Alex coming out on Sky and slating his players. Its called man management, and Magilton obviously cant do it.
