Well, we all know the biggest tinkerman in QPR mangerial history, don't we>>
i said a couple of days ago....Jim should take another look at the Preston,Reading and Derby games.....perhaps even the Barnsley one as well....see where he got it right and stick with it......
his tinkering will force players to want a transfer.
You really have a soft spot for SOusa?/ Look the football was dire, I have my opinion and it was boring, tedious and not what football is about entertainment!! Now if you are going to spit out the dummy after 2 bad results fair enough, but a season consists of 46 games and does not finish in ealry December
yes and does our early season form and current form not count towards those 46 games. the early games are just as important as the last games. a win on the first game is not worth less than a win on the last. if this form continues into january then our season is over its as simple as that.
when we had a very good manager that was sacked for non footballing reasons its very sad. chelsea won the prem by playing boring football but they still one it. just because Man united may play (or played) with more style it does not mean chelseas win is any less.
as i said the manager was sacked because his style of football did not fit in with the clubs boutique image. it did not sell out the c club or boxes
This squad is stronger and up to 9 days ago, Jim was doing a miles better job than Sousa ever did or would ever do in his life-time, Is that okay for you?
Would also say only 9 days ago, fans were singing "jims blue and white army", now want him sacked (not the above posters). Also, think they were doing it tonight at 1-0 up????
Sousa - first 20 league games with no managerial experience and a significantly weaker squad, 25 points
Magilton - first 20 league games with 3 years managerial experience anda significantly stronger squad, 28 points
Miles better eh?
Sousa now - first 19 games with Swansea with 4 months managerial experience and a significantly weaker squad than ours, 29 points.
Looks to me like he is learning, and far quicker than anything in Magilton's CV suggests he is capable of doing.
Still, keep hoping that Jim is the answer Pete. Like about 90% of your posters knew Sousa needed to be backed and left alone, they also knew from the get go that Magilton wasn't up to the job. He's a Mullery clone.
Why are you defending a manager that last Feb/March didn't actually win
ONE GAME IN 9 MATCHES?????
but want to slate off the current manager and say Sousa was better.. He has a bit of a way to go just yet, don't you agree??
because i could see what he was aiming for. he had a plan. he was putting together a team. he was new to managment. he had potential.
we can see now what he is doing with swansea. difference: their chairman lets him get on with it.
lets not forget it was the players that said he was the best manager they had worked under. i wonder if they could say the same about JM.
i also believe that there is still major influence from above. look at the 34 year old italian who rejected us. i can't see that being a JM signing. if its not its a real shame that they still haven't learnt. maybe now flavio isn't busy he could appoint himself manager.
Nope, you and samqpr plus bernies for good measure are saying we should have kept SOUSA//
What basis do you base that on? The fact he was getting our defence sorted out and we didn't win one game in nine matches or the fact he is overacheiving for the minute with Swansea City and you have this dream in your head, that he would have been great for us this season??

you build a team from the back, which is what sousa was doing.
give him free reign like swansea have done and you will be rewarded.
he will forever be known as the on ethat got away (or thrown away)
I might agree that under Dowie, it was difficult for him..
End of the day, Sousa has gone, no point crying over spilit milk, he done a c.rap job for us, the football was dire and people were leaving in droves. This season, its been exciting football and we are having a blip. Granted it needs to be sorted and all want to return to the free flowing football, but its now-where near a crisis just yet and for the ones advocating returning to 0-0's to Reading, Sheffield United, Coventry and Southampton's of this world, I think you need your head examined.

Yes I'm saying we should have kept Sousa. I've given you the stats above that show he is improving in his short time as a manager, whereas Magilton has NOTHING in his CV after FOUR YEARS AS A MANAGER that suggests he is capable of improving enough to take us forward.
Mourinho bored everyone to death with Chelsea winning 1-0, but that laid the foundation for them to be able to attract bigger and better players to the club. George Graham's Arsenal bored everyone to death with Arsenal winning 1-0, but lifted the club from years of mediocrity to the winner's podium and laid the foundations for the club to go to bigger and better things. We can score four and five goals aginst teams in the CCC, but it will mean nothing without getting the points to get us promoted. FACT.
There's only one person dreaming in this debate and it ain't me, sam or quaz.
