Not giving sousa a chance with good players was a huge mistake, any manager worth his salt will sort the defence 1st and thats what he done, sacked b4 he had a chance to improve the rest of the team.

Seem to remember under Paulo Sousa, we were in the play offs, then he decided to tinker and bore us to tears, then we ended up mid-table. No need to make up things as we go along, just so it makes a point.

Sousa was in his 1st few months as a manager, some of the great sides in English football started off being boring and defence minded, Leeds Liverpool Arsenal come to mind, and they all went on to dominate English football, for a long time.
