  • Quick Sousa Question

    I know its boring, but

When we carried a vote 86% of board members wanted to stick by Paulo Sousa, how can this board be labelled in being instrumental in his removal, when only 14% were for him leaving?

Its been advocated by supporters elsewhere that this board is a Pro QPR board when in reality it allows everyone a voice.

heard more than once that WATRB;s cronies are responsible !!!

So are you advocating that you are actually running an Anti QPR board?

      • Well basically posters from other MB's label this MB as Fantasy Island or Paladinis Mouthpiece because of those individuals which run it.

Realistically posters like myself should be more offended than you ever could for being tarred with the same brush that all posters on here are Pro Paladini and Teenagers. However, I recognised that they aren't really refering and directing their abuse at half a dozen individuals.

Thing is I'm sure you know that but are just making a point for the sake of it, which is in a sense pretty pointless.

Because you ran a campaign in which the board was plastered with thread after thread originating from the same handful of posters, don't try to re-write history every knows what you did and how it works.

              • that poll was one thread, but there seemed to be constant digs at PS on here, unless it just seemed like that.

I think you need to understand yes you have your opinion. Unfortunatly, you have put yourself in a position where it is known you talk to and support GP. GP was said to have called PS a c*** in front of fans. You step into our shoe's and you will see it is very easy to assume that you were on a campaign. It did honestly seem like a campaign in my eyes and I don't think anything will change my mind or the minds of others. It's futile. You get your info, rumours, the backing for websites and projects like this. On the flipside you will have critics and a lot of animosity towards you. I have no problem with you myself. I dislike GP greatly, I also mourn the sacking of sousa (at the time I was exstatic with him) and I love your rumours. I am sure there are many like me, but it's just the way the whole scenario happened with sousa and with the constant trumpeting by various pro GPites it's just the way it comes across. A true propoganda machine almost. It might not be...but it seems that way. Perhaps, if you are really actually annoyed by all of it, then it is a change of tactics that is needed?

Yes, other boards do accuse this one of being Pro-QPR/GP. That is because much of the information posted by key posters such as your good self has the implication that it comes from inside sources. Whether it comes from GP or not is irrelevant – the implication is tangible. As you have proved, the majority of contributors (some with the precious gift of hindsight) are very pro-Sousa and very anti-GP. You know GP, I don't, so why shouldn't you support him?

This site generates far more traffic than any other Rangers messageboard and the fact that a topic is posted that the majority might disagree with will invariably generate even moor traffice – it creates debate (occasionally) but more often than not it produces fierce and sometimes hostile opposition. In effect, it's the same principle used by shock jocks, for instance Nick Ferrari on LBC – say something controversial and you will get callers phoning in to express their indignation by the bucketload. I for one often follow threads to see how you defend accusations made against you by others and vice-versa. All very entertaining and at times a damned sight more entertaining than work or watching games at LR in recent times.

Like it or not Pete, particularly through your contributions on other boards, you, and to a lesser extent Scott Jones (and yes I do know he's no longer 'official') are seen as the public face of WATRB – people ITK with the ear of GP. That seems to me to be a quite understandable if rather inaccurate perception.

Whether I agree with what's posted or not, I find WATRB far more interesting than any other site. And now I've broken my duck, I might actually give some views on other things, if I can work out what the hell they are.

                      • QBP

You really are a cretin aren't you. Because of your relationship with GP you really do think that you are someone of great importance. Of course this board did not have the influence to get Sousa sacked. It was the other way round. GP with your kind hand orchestrated a campaign against a true gentleman and a person who footballing wise is revered by all and sundry, recommended by the likes of Scolari and Morinho etc, etc etc., And his real crime? Was nothing more than to build a team with solid foundations, i.e. from the back forwards. Ensure you don't lose first before you start winning. The bloke was shorn of talent such as Buzsaky, Vine and Rowlands, who were more than instrumental in the success of Di Canio. Fact is GP did not like him because he saw him as a threat, hence the public outburst with the c**t comment. And shortly after the anti-Sousa campaign began on this board.

All GP needed then was an excuse, which in his eyes merited the sacking of Sousa, and he was alerted to this excuse from the thread, ironically from a pro-Sousa supporter, which allegedly was 'disclosing sensitive information'. I wonder who it was that alerted GP to this thread. I really wonder? Yet we see on this board 'sensitive information' being disclosed all of the time, especially from you, as a result in the main of your relationship with GP. You my friend are no more than a parasite, leech on the back of a football club that deserves better than you as a 'johnny come lately supporter' and you use this information for your own gains, not including the financial gains you have made in the past from the selling of complimentary tickets.

Yet you continue to consider that Sousa, in your words is ****.e. Well the facts seem to bear out that you are totally wrong. Swansea are flying whilst we are going down the pan. Sousa has proved that all he needed was a close season to get the team playing as he really wanted and with the benefit of the return of the flair players. He got that close season at Swansea, yep they started slowly, getting used to his footballing philosophy and now as they are bedding down to this they are lying 5th in the league with only 20 goals conceded and five defeats.

The perception of WATRB has nothing to do with the numbers of people pro/anti Sousa or pro/anti Paladini it is more to do with the level of threads and posts on these topics.

Like many others, including w12ranger, I've been a member on this board since day 1 but look at the number of posts I've made, he has made and then how many you have made. If say 5% of posts are on Paladini or Sousa the chances are that you've posted far more on this topic then anyone else. Therefore the perception from the other messageboards is that WATRB is anti Sousa.

what a shame that football non-entities like paladini, briatore and, dare i say QBP, hounded this guy out of HQ after 25 matches in charge.

one of the most shameful episodes in our history and a tragic loss. this guy will gon to be a force in football.
