  • Magilton Back To The Way He was

Hi All QPR fans, Ipswich fan here just asking for your opionions on Mr Mag, now please don't think im on here gloating after all we're still bottom three and i think your team were unlucky to be playing borough on Sat as I think they would have beaten anyone - finally a bit of fire in them after Southgate left, anyway, most town fans pressed for Magiltons sacking due to lack of consistency, and the feeling of never getting near the dream land again.
Our feeling were that he had no plan b, only 2 formations and to many favourite players who he wouldn't drop no matter how bad they played.
Do you think that you can already see this in your current squad? You havnt lost many, but i've seen that your squad has changed abit apart from a few, and that the fans seem to be seeing the same things we did.
just wandering whether he is supported or if already you feel that he was a bad choice of manager.

Are you sure not a secret HOOP coz you've just about got it spot on!!
Many of us were sceptical about Jims appointment at the start and given the alleged ambition of our owners we expected someone a bit more high profile and someone with a bit of proven history. Neverthe less we got behind our man & team from day one however you get the feeling that if things don't improve over the next 5/6 weeks then our owners will seek change AGAIN !

I was pre-warned the day he signed and I think we are starting to see what you did, will he be able to put this right and has he learned he's lesson?

I had the chance to tell him what Ipswich fans said to me when he signed but I didn't, wish I had now.

If he can keep a constant team I think he could do wonders as manager, wouldn't you agree?

unfortunately not MYU, you won't find yourselves with a constant team, the more games where your 1-0 down or 0-0 at half time you'll notice left backs at right back, strikers in midfield, really really bad players constantly being played every single game yet good ones being subbed, I think Magilton would make an ideal coach but not a manager as for me, he doesn't seem to understand the game.

Magilton plays football how it should be played
(Attacking wise.. not letting in the goals)
              Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
              And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Pretty much spot on, although I didnt hear anyone complaining when we beat Preston 4-0, Reading 4-1 and Derby 4-2 away within a month.

lol sorry Scott, and by the way - Delaney - ****** brilliant at cb - must say i slated him at left back and couldnt believe we spent nearly a mill on him but seriously at CB hes one of the championships best defenders. so thank you for himlol.

But being serious I do hope mag turns it around, as he is a town legend, but for your sakes I hope he isn't actually given to much time - otherwise you;ll get bored of loftus road.

exactly what I was saying for months, he wasn't a fullback, and he was getting slaughtered for his crosses.

Agree with oldschoolqpr, if Magilton plays Hall he hasn't really learned. With Legs most fans were advocating him as right back over Ramage, so it looks like he went with the flow. I'm not too disillusioned after one spanking, as leicester are one of the better teams I've seen this season and Forest done a job on them.

But, Magilton needs to know his best 11 and stick to it, which at the time of us winning he was doing. He cannot be faulted that Connolly is injured, or Mahon and rowlands are out for the season, but its the tinkering which is getting to fans and the fact we don't have a Plan B

I also used to say he was a CB not a LB and defensively he was doing ok.

How we could use him in the centre now, defending those set pieces?

As for Magilton comments? Spot on. He knows him, becuase he was anaeing Ipswich for 3 seasons and they had seen a lot of attractive football and goals, but unfortunately, no consistancy on the pitch largely due to too much tinkering including subbing good performers i.e. Taarabt against Coventry to defend a 2-1 lead at home to a struggling side.
