Tonight Is All About " Character"

Tonight will tell us alot about the players. In my opinion, you don't become a bad team overnight and even though we have got hammered by Boro, this is not a time for fans or players to feel sorry for themselves. A win tonight will go a long way in appeasing fans and it will be Saturday's result will be like tomorrow's chip paper, we must show untiy and give 100% tonight. I know we will be looking at the result, but to me its about the performance.

Anything like last years 3-0 defeat will put pressure on Magilton and fans will really start to have negative feelings towards him and the team, (if they haven't already). Tonight is about beinmg strong, wiping the slate clean, forgetting about the result on Saturday and showing us the fans what they can do. Results against Preston and Reading and certain other performances this season, have shown we have progressed enormously from last season, we need to get back to basics. Each and every player's performance will be scrutinised and its about standing up and being counted.

After Saturday's performance the players and management owe us and with a big audience on Sky this game in many respects could not have come at a better time. Its 48 hours, we are not waiting 2 weeks to get that bad performance our of reach and tonight is the night, where fans who are making the trip to Watford tonight expect the players to deliver. You learn much more about your players from defeats than you ever do winning games and tonight is the time for the players to show us fans what they are made of.

Totally agree - There is no team that will win every game they play but its about how they turn around the negatives!

We will find out how much these players 'care' tonite!

Why don't you just respond to those who disagreed with you in the other thread then starting a new one saying the same thing???

Don't think its about a good team vs a bad team debate its about two major things in football. Consistency and confidence its as important as ability, most of our players can put in prem league performances but for how long? The inconsistency of players is why they find themselves playing in the second tier of English football. And of course when you lose the form the confidence takes a knock, it really is that simply the most consistent team will be promoted. If our players played as they did a few weeks back regularly they'd all be playing top flight footie, but they can't and they don't.

7 points from the opening 6 matches and 6 points from the last 6 matches is neither consistent or the results of a "good" team.

Why do you start a new thread on a different subject without answering the points directed at you first? You don't have to answer every question that is ever asked to you but why should people keep answering your questions when you won't answer theirs?

It's not about going with the flow it's about respect of fellow posters. If you continued to ask question after question but didn't answer questions when put to you would you expect people to answer your questions?
