I am seriously starting to question what kind of a numb-skull manager we have who rates Hall so highly and has played Buzsaky out of position for the entire season.

Well said Isleworth! He is a big time Charlie. He is a defender who can't defend. We always look vulnerable and concede when he plays. I have lost count of the amount of goals he has cost us since he has joined us.

Not impressed by Hall however he doesnt pick the team the manager does (or is supposed to)

re the clean sheets, its difficult to mention Gorkss/Stewart without mentioning Sousa. Stewart inproved significantly through last season, I suspect some at least of that improvement was because of the coaching.

The Defence was showing signs of strain weeks ago and has been getting progressively worse.

Of course it doesnt help when the players and formation in front of the back four varies wildly from game to game and even within games.

Buzsaky on the right Buzsaky in the middle Buzsaky on the left and giving very little support to the full back on either site.

Hall wont be going anywhere because he is on a very juicy and long contract which nobody else will come close to matching

Playing the way we do I thought the midfield should support both Defence and Attack:tired::girl::red_heart::waaaht::grimace::gr imace::grimace::grimace::grimace::grimace::grimace ::grimace::grimace::grimace::grimace::grimace::gri mace:

Yes he is and he's doing a ####ing good job now he is allowed to manage without meglomaniacs and wannabe Directors of Football interfering...

You cary on picking and choosing, Pete - I thought that the reason for all those clean sheets was Cerny, the real dodgy flapper at the back?

And what of the defensive central midfielder that generally player ahead of our defense?

So much more to Sousa than you can see. He does not deserve the disrepect so many give him on here and never did.

For what its worth, I agree that Gorkks and Stewart is the best combo, but they were NOT solely responsible for all the clean sheets last season and nor was Radish...

Hall is a decent footballer, but not in this division. When we played Oldham in the play off semi at LR. He Fell over to let Furlong get past him and score. Has he Improved since then?

An intelligent manager coming into a football club always sorts out the defence first. Its the foundation on which to build and is what Sousa had achieved before being booted out so unceremoniously. To a certain extent Dowie was doing the same. Had Sousa been given more time he may well have continued that progress through the rest of the side.

An unintelligent manager coming into a football club is one who goes gung-ho straight from the off, a la Magilton. Sexy football may win the fan's plaudits but it doesnt necessarily win you games, particularly in this league.

Yes of course we need to move on from Sousa, but as his name was brought up, thats my 2 centavos.

                  As ever YMMV.

Trouble is, after a 5-1 drumming its an easy argument. No-one was saying a word when we were thumping teams in October. This argument only comes out of the woodwork after a bad result. We seem quick to criticise magilton after a defeat, but don't congratulate him on victories and the manner of them

Lets not keep bringing up the sousa debate!
His 0-0's and boring tactics was hardly going to win us promotion.
He has moved on and so have we.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

well he has one more point than us with a far inferior squad.

I actually think if you go on your thinking then Holloway is showing up both big time.

The reality is that JM got lucky by hitting on a formation that worked, and then got unlucky with injuries to Rowly and Mahon from which point nothing has worked particulartly well at all.

He's had a brief run of good results amongst a sea of games where points and goals have been shipped with a recklessness that reflects his nature as a manager. Nine goals in the last 3 games. Only three wins in 10 home games, no clue as to his correct back four, and by the sounds of it Cerny reduced to a wreck by not knowing who is going to do what in front of him.

Sadly, it now appears that, as many thought last season, we had the RIGHT manager for the job in Sousa and he was shat upon for having a good deal more integrity than some of those he was working for. Left to his own devices at Swansea, he's working mircales with a limited squad. Those individuals responsible for getting rid of Sousa are now beginning to reap mwhat they sowed, whilst the rest of us have to watch the club we love once again being made a laughing stock of.

Everybody must be happy with the general style of our play. What we get unhappy with is the blatantly obvious ridiculous selections. Hall being the main one. We can all see it, he is a liability. I haven't read one message on here that defends Hall as a player. We normally disagree about topics, but on this one we are unanimous. Why therefore is he being picked?

It isn't Hall's fault, and we should (including myself) maybe tone down our criticism of him as a fella, but his football is mistake-ridden, and defenders need consistency.

I once asked a friend of mine who played Premiership for Saints and Millwall (centre back) why it is that cup shocks happen, but over a season the same teams generally win. All he said was that the better players have a much smaller margin between their best and worst games. Consistency. The better players are 7/10 players minimum, and regularly. Especially defenders. Players like Hall make costly mistakes nearly every game.
