  • Was that our biggest ever home defeat?

I can't remember a defeat as heavy as that in the time i've been supporting them (early 90s).

As for the match itself, some neat play going forward but we were really punished for a) not taking one of the 4 easy chances we had in the first 20 minutes when we were well on top and b) shambolic defending AGAIN. Three points monday are a must. In my opinion if there's a possibility we can sign Sol Campbell we should bring him in ASAP as his strength and experience is exactly what we need.

I'm sure we lost 6-0 at home to Arsenal before?

In the league I don't think we've ever had a defeat that bad at home before. Pretty shameful entry into the history books for the team and magilton. I think the only way they can make up for this is a win at watford.

Lost 5-1 at home to Everton. Start of the 77-78 season. Bob Latchford hat trick. Remember it well!

Time to put the call in to Campbell.

            Wages wouldn't be a problem.

We could do with Bob Latchford as well.
