Today was the culmination of a few games of increasingly poor performances. First of all, well played Middlesborough. Queudrue (or however it is spelt) ran it in midfield and their front men tore us apart in the middle. Here are my thoughts on each player, wondered what ther people thought?
Cerny - seems to have little confidence, like at this stage last season (or maybe a little earlier). Needs to be more commanding and push the defence forward more on set pieces. I am sure he will come good again, and it is a shame Heaton isn't here at the moment.
Legs - Is a lovely footballing right-back but he makes mistakes, a lot of them, defensively, because this isn't his natural position. Jury's out here.
Gorkss - I thought he carried Hall. Him and Stewart were superb as a partnership last season, why the hell are they not being allowed to continue that? I can understand maybe Conners coming in, but Hall?
Hall - Absolutely awful. Shocking display. Stood off Lita for decisive 3rd goal, let players run past him because he was badly positioned and was on a booking. For a tall bloke his heading is weak, and he adds little to the team. He seems to make whoever he plays next to struggle. If Magilton picks him on Monday then there is definitely sex occurring between them.
Borrowdale - I thought this was as good a game as he has had so far. His showed Hall how to stop Lita from getting to the ball, and his passing was top notch. I didn't see if the 5th goal was him keeping them onside, not sure on that. Overall surely now his doubters can see his is a good player.
Adel - He is young and raw. Against a really strong team today he looked out of it, and I think that might be why he is on loan to us. He needs to keep learning his trade, and with the right guidance will be quality.
Routledge - I thought he did well today, God knows why he was taken off. He is trying so hard, he chases back got in some nice crosses... Is better on the wing.
Buzz - Not playing that well, he might need a rest Monday. I hate to sayit s e is my fave player, but I do think he should either play centrally or have a rest Monday. He will be back though, he is quality.
Faurlin - Started great, faded and like Adel has a lot to learn. Big poptential though. He often fades in games, maybe fitness, or lack of experience?
Watson - Stated brightly but they just passed it round him. Is he the player we thought he was? Is he worth 2 million?
Simpson - My only beef with him is that he often doesn't show up. If full backs have it, he always stys central, instead of coming into the channel like Lita did. We need him to do that, and it showed when Vine came on how much of a difference it can make when a player has the confidence to show up for it. Again, a young payer with lots of potential, but we have too many of them and not enough leaders.
Vine - I think he looks great. Has to start Monday.
Pat - mmm... still to me an impact sub. Well done today with goal but after that, nothing....
We HAVE to play Stewart with Gorkss. My team for Monday:

Routledge, Buszaky or Legs, Watson, Tarabbt or Williams
Vine, Ageymang
I think we need a bit more experience on the park. Faurlin and Simpson to take a rest for a game. I think they have done well, but need a break. Ramage to come back for some solid defending.
