5-1 home defeat, only 1 win out of 6,slipped down toward midtable, miles off top 2,our 2 leaders out for months,a team full of loanees and a manager who has never achieved anything who will feel under alot of pressure tonight.I know it is almost natural for us to call for him to be sacked but i dont think that is the answer,NOT YET anyway.I have said from the very start that i couldnt see Magilton being a sucess,so to be honest im not too surprised by things, but he was given the job by our board who "claimed" "we have learned by our mistakes!",so they need to persist with him untill january at least and if things deteriate as i suspect they will,THEN get rid of him.I await my weekly hammering from merry man,and the rest of the "you werent there ffs"gang:what:

We have a much thinner squad than we thought. In quality especially!! But I cant understand why Ramage is out and Hall is in. Ship Pellicori, Alberti out and Get Heidar Helgusson in for a start as well. We do also seem to need a replacement or competition for Cerny, who much likely suffers from being forced to save a sinking ship EVERY GAME. Poor sod, I say.Last edited by Guest; 05-12-2009, 06:25 PM.

Todays result has been coming, if you've watched the side in recent weeks we have been useless at the back, conceeding sloppy goals and dropping lots of points, one in six now!
I was confident we would lose today, I even bet on Boro so i was shocked to see us lose and wasn't shocked by 5 goals because I've seen howbadly we have defended against poor sides (Palace, Coventry). So against Boro who are in all honesty probably the third best squad in the league I was kind of expecting it.
Not sure what the answer is but it's Magiltons job to sort it out NOW, because anything other than a win on Monday and I fear the P45 won't be far away with out track record.
The only thing I will say is that Legs isn't a RB and maybe that isn't helping the defence, also he needs to pick two central defenders and then live and die by them instead of chopping a changing.
The best performances from us this season were Cardiff and Newcastle away IMO, we played 442 with Vine and Simpson up top and Rowlands played in both, he is a massive loss to us, just like last season people underestimated the loss but without him we lack bite in the midfield, Watson has also looked a shadow of the player he did in those games beside Rowlands. In both of those games we looked good going forward but we also looked solid defensively and in midfield now we look like Arsenal going forward but with poor finishing and we look like a pub side when we defend. Even in the Coventry match everytime they attacked which was admittedly only about 3 times, they looked like scoring!
I would probably put Ramage in at RB and drop Buzsaky and put Vine up front with Simpson, and have Routledge and Taarabt out wide.

We were never gonna challenge for the automatic positions, and most here would have settled for playoffs pre-season.
Why the panicking?.

Would you rather we went back to the Sousa style of play and boring 0-0's?.We have dominated home games except today and Leicester. If we had another good striker alongside Simpson then i would think that most of those draws would have been wins.

Results have been poor since we lost the Leicester game, hopefully the pasting which has been inevitable will put a stop to it, we HAVE to win @ Watford on Monday simple as that if we fail to win on Monday and then lose to WBA the following week it will not be good!
