...but I've heard through a reliable source (who I can't reveal) that the wage bill at QPR is far worse than we thought and is probably the reason why we haven't dabbled much,if at all, in the transfer market even though its reported that JM is keen to sign Watson on a permanent deal.Unbelievably,Agyemang is one of the high earners on alledgedly £25k a week. This for a player whose career goals add up to a measly 61 in 335 games, doesn't command a first team place and who we would have a problem loaning out even at only 50% of his wages.I bet he can't believe his luck since his move from Preston.Routledge is up there with him,but thats perhaps understandable. With gates around 13,000 the position is surely unsustainable and doesn't bode that well for the immediate future. The promotion race is wide open with only 2 points separating us in 5th place and Bristol City in 12th.Therefore every effort will have to be made to bring more players in, particularly strikers, but for the aforementioned reasons I personally can't see it happening.

they know what they are doing, they are not multi billionaires for no reason. They will have ring fenced the wage bill against a loan ,and work with the marketing and sponsors money to reduce this burden. There is no spend that is not carefully considered which is a good thing.
Now QPR as a self sufficient business? that is a more significant problem

Seriously, Agyemang on 25 k.. no chance. I have no doubt we have one of the highest wage bills in the league, but this is nothing to worry about seeing as we are backed by some of the richest men in the world. Even if we had gates of 30k plus it wouldn't really make too much of a difference to the wage bill, it's revenue a club gets from sponsorship and investors that really counts.

Seriously... should people answer this? I can catagorically state that PA is on not even half of those wages! Please bare in mind we have people at the helm who didn't get where they are by throwing money away. Watson is the highest earner at the club but we are only paying a percentage of his actual salary a week. There was cash paid up front for his service too but that is tied into the deal to sign him in Jan if we wish too. Our highest paid player is WR (paid for by the club!). Also FB is the man paying the wage bill at HQ and he is TIGHTER than GIANNI! GP comes under a lot of digs from a lot on here yet if people knew how screwd he is he'd possibly get a lot more respect. FB is 10x this!
Not trying to have a cheap pop at you fella but I would say take the info you was told with a pinch of salt fellaLast edited by Dazzer1977; 04-12-2009, 11:25 PM.

Definitely a topic of interest, by loaning out players and selling a couple in January, does show we don't have an endless pot of cash.ALL BEST BANTER AND ALL THE LATEST FROM QPR.

I would rather common sense used than get into another financial mess.
