i can understanding if u stand in the Q BLOCK or other corners of the ground due to bad views but its really annoying when someone in front of u stands up and u cant see anything
Probably the only way round it is to introduce a small standing area.Something the size of the lower loft would be big enough to accomodate the standers.
Unfortunately this is part of the backlash from Hillsboro which,as we know, the Liverpool fans like to keep reminding us of.
i honestly cant see how they efficiently police this so people remain seated throughout the whole game
its impossible
I am in X block and there is a group of fellas, maybe 30 or so,who stand at the back every game and they seem to get away with it.Never noticed any aggro with the stewards.
Hopefully the club, can be seen to be doing something by having a write up in the programme, it appeases the council, but ultimately its just a token gesture by the club, to be seen to be doing something.
Didn't think the whole ground belonged to the council??

Missing the point by a spectacular distance.
It's law. On to the statute books in 1993 following the recommendations made in the Taylor Report. To gain the required safety licence from local authority, clubs which fall under the umbrella of the legislation have to comply or the local authority have legal authority to close some or all of the stadium down. Naff all the clubs can do.
Until the legislation changes, which would require an amendment to the Football Licensing Act in Parliament, it's a non argument.
Yeah they are blaming them, but that's just trying to remove blame from themselves...
I am quietly confident the council don't have that big an issue with it as the club make out. When I posted a while back about the club banning swipe cards (you started a thread on it?) I was told it was indeed the the club and NOT the council pushing for this.

Worst in the borough by a distance Saffa in home areas. Fulham have a problem with away fans standing but generally, Chelsea don't have an issue. The Matthew Harding Standing is very well stewarded and self policed by some of the fans down there.
